As a budding genealogist I want to preserve the records that have taken me time to find. These sheet protectors are acid free and archival quality. Future generations should clearly be able to view their ancestors records.
I cut off the margin with the binder holes and used them for packets of various booklets phamphlets given out at a seminar. The folder was quite thick but did not pull apart at the seams where I cut the margin off. The only thing not great was a pile of packets was slippery.
They do the job they're supposed to do but the plastic is recycled or something because it's less transparent than a lot of the crystal sheet protectors sold by name-brand office supply companies. There seemed to be a film of some sort within the plastic itself that made the presentation cloudier than necessary. My other minor issue with this product is its packaging. The items are bulked together inside a singled sleeve-type package and as a result static keeps the individual protectors sticking together making them difficult to manage initially. Once one has been separated out however they're fairly easy to use and they perform functionally. Probably not the best product out there but worth the price anyway.
