We use this product everyday. There is always something that can be a little more organized. We have used them by color we have used then as ABC dividers. You can use them for most anything you need. We have had no trouble with them tearing apart where the binder holes are. The holes are reinforced really well.

I bought these because of all the great reviews. I thought it would be great to be able to simply write on the dividers and erase them/wipe them off afterward rather than dealing with getting tiny slips of paper in and out. However pencil or Sharpie seem to be the only writing utensils that work. The pencil is erasable and doesn't smear too much but you can hardly see it on the colored tabs. The Sharpie is obviously permanent which defeats the purpose. Ballpoint or ink pens do not work at all. I had to use a (Sharpie brand) felt tip pen which smudges and smears right off even after drying. Great idea; poor execution.
