Do not get this stapler

When the stapler arrived to me the packaging was already mostly ripped. I'm not sure if all staplers of this model are the same but this is my experience with it: As soon as I started stapling I noticed there was something funky about it. The staples sometimes get stuck in the hole from which they come out of. I had to use pliers at some point to get 2-3 staples that had become lodged in the dispenser hole. Once I got past the stuck staples I started stapling my staples as usual. I noticed that 60-70% of the time the staple is placed on the paper crooked. Instead of being a straight line on the top of the paper the staple is wavy. The tiny metal "legs" that pierce the paper and bend behind it also show crooked. As a result it's easier to pull the papers lightly and make them come apart. When this happens I have to remove the staple and continue to try until finally I get a staple that is placed on the paper correctly. Sometimes this leaves my papers looking wrinkled full of holes and unprofessional. I have tried using different staples different amounts of pressure different surfaces etc. I give up. Today I contacted Staples to return this item and get a different one.

Seriously great stapler

The stapler is a significant improvement over the previous model. The redesigned anvel eliminates the problem of jamming staples. As a pharmacist I am stapling prescription labels to bags all day long. The previous model which was rated at 20 sheets had trouble with 30 but I have yet to find a stapling task at work the new one can't handle. The only drawback to the new design is the shallower throat. This design change was necessary to make the force needed to staple less. They have always called this design of stapler a one touch but this Stabler can truly be my operated with a single finger.

I am very happy with this item because I don't have to put much pressure on it to use it. This is exactly what I need as if I choose an electric one I had to bring what ever I need to staple to my desk but this one I can carry it any where and it's so easy to operate. I had no problems and I am satisfied with it. Also I can use it with many sheets which is very convenient. Staples has good stuff at reasonable prices also many rebates and variety of office supply. In general I like this store because it's convenient to me and better than other places.
