failed quickly not sturdy maybe we got a lemon?

Well after actually researching reasonably priced regular old staplers bought this one after husband and office manager got so frustrated and three old staplers in our office away. Need one that WORK! Maybe we got a lemon since other reviewers had good luck. It's just a stapler right! Unfortunately this stapler has no build in auto-motion (like the 'soft touch' kind that don't make your hand tired and don't require much pressure) - so don't be fooled by the odd shape/high handle) but main issue is: didn't work after a short time. Will staple maybe once twice then too much compression and staple is all screwy and bent up not through paper (even one sheet much less more!) all the way. Got free replacement from Staples.com which is appreciated but we will see if next one is any better.

It works fine. I was hoping for a smoother close like my old one was this one is kind of a clunky close.

It would have been clearer if the pkg stated which staples to use but I asked the cleak then after purchase ripped the pkg open on bot the stapler and the reccommended staplkes and tested it. Worked great so I left. Great stapler.

Staples Brand Stapler

I recently bought the Staples One Touch Plus 30 sheet stapler and had to return it because the staple did not compress properly. The replacement stapler is working properly but doesn't even come close to being the same quality as the previous design of this stapler. When you use the new stapler it just doesn't feel or sound as sturdy as the older model that had the curved handle. The product functions ok but it definitely seems cheaper plus I prefer the design of the older version.

I really like this one so far. it is pretty effortless on big jobs. Some say they do 30 pages but struggle after 20 something. this one works well!
