This gives good clear sound for a center channel and you can hear dialog well with it turned up high or down low (which I would say is the most important thing for a center channel speaker). Listening to movies/music with this and the other Synergy Black Label speakers in my 5.1 setup has been great! It has a lot of power but also stays very clear when turned down low (while kids are sleeping). It can certainly give enough bass to handle explosions on movies etc, but having a separate sub I'm more concerned with center channel dialog clarity which it delivers on.
This speaker alone more than replaced my sound bar, then when you add other speakers with it there is a night and day difference! The only thing I dislike about this is that the outside is plastic instead of a wood finish like the other Synergy Black Label speakers. I have the F-200/B-100/Sub-120 and all of them are the black wood finish so it seems strange that the C-200 in the same series isn't wood. It does still match the color and style so you wouldn't notice the material unless you were right up at the TV looking down at this so it's not a huge deal.

I replaced my Polk Audio center speaker with the C-200. Made a huge difference. Voices are much clearer and looks better now that all the speakers match in looks. And the price was hard to beat.
