[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a free sample from 3m and I have to say it really is professional strength duct tape. I used it to fix a rip tarp for now until I get a new one and it’s been over 3 weeks and it’s holding on strong. It has rain in the pass week and no water has gone in. I’m very happy with this so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was provided a sample of this product to test. The strength is excellent. The claim of no sticky residue when you pull it off (up to 6 months) I can't testify to 6 months but I can say after a week or 2 there is no residue. I will say I only gave 4 stars because while there was no sticky residue left behind, on 1 painted surface it did remove the paint. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Pro Strength for the Non-Professional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a regular homeowner, I know the limitations to my skills in repair. I was sent this product to try by 3M and was pleased with the results. It says on the packaging that this is for Industrial and HVAC use. While I'm not using the product for a professional purpose, I really loved the professional strength. Sometimes, a quick repair in the home needs duct tape. I used this at Christmas to secure some decorations that were falling apart. I really need to purchase new decorations, but the tape helped me get another year out of them.
I was really pleased with the quality and I know I'll use it again.

Nice tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the tape for an unconventional purpose. Working from home I taped a roll pillow to my desk chair. The tape was strong and a bit flexible. It did leave a sticky residue on my chair. It did come off pretty easy using a clean piece of tape. I received this product free to provide a review.

Similiar to other Duct Tapes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to test a few weeks ago. I decided to test it against an old generic roll of duct tape I had and a roll of gorilla tape. I put long strips of each piece of tape across the top of a piece of metal that was about 100°F (imagine a U shaped piece and the strips were across the top). I then balanced a 5lb weight and times how long it was before each strip released (they didn't tear, just the adhesive gave out). The generic roll released after 20 minutes with little residue, the Pro Strength released after 26 minutes but with a fair amount of residue (but if you went over the area with a sticky piece it came off easily), and finally the gorilla tape lasted for more than 30 minutes (I gave up on timing after 30 minutes). I also wrote on strips of all three and placed them outside to label my recycle bins. It has been 3 weeks and all seem to be performing well and not peeling off (note it is winter here so it has been below freezing most of that time). So from the tests I did, I did not see a vast improvement against similar products, especially as it claims NO RESIDUE and it actually had the most even if it was easy to remove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did great job holding!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for review this fall. It holds great! Only downfall is trying to reposition and getting it stuck to itself. I’m currently holding a broken piece of car trim in place with this tape. It’s held well through sloppy, slushy winter weather. Interested to see how it holds up in the car wash.

Great holding strength

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I wouldn't go trying to hold an aircraft together with this tape I wouldn't hesitate to use it on just about anything else. It is some durable quality with excellent holding strength!
