I originally bought the SB8200 but it constantly overheated and disconnected. I replaced it with the SB6183 and still get advertised speeds (over 150Mbps) at a lower price and zero errors during its 25-day uptime.

Fast speeds

This replaces another SB6183 that was 4 1/2 years old. My isp plan is 200 mbps but with this new SB6183 my speed is 311 mbps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

To balance out the negative reviews - I have had this modem since 2014 with no problems.
I have had to reboot it say 5 times in 5 years just to make sure I'm getting the ultimate speed.
Thats pretty good.

Does not work with google wifi

This constantly drops when video chatting. I founnd my firmware causes problems with other mesh systems and no way to get an update. Optimum only updates modems rented by them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
