The projector working okay out of the box. Lot of input feature which couldn't found on other brand name projector with the same price point. The only complaint about the cooling fan a little bit noisy, they could put in a more quiet fan for the average consumer.

I bought this projector at Christmas. It was on sale and the price was good. I really like it. I use a Mac and it works perfectly with it. Image is very bright and using hdmi gives you a very crisp and detailed image. I will never have any problem connecting to this projector as I can use 3 types of cables to connect (Usb, VGA and hdmi). I tested all of them and they work as soon as you connect the projector. Probably the only thing missing on this projector is an out video port, but that is not a problem for me as I intend to use this projector only with my laptop.

EX5200

I am very happy with my EX5200, my family and I enjoy movies and games on the EX5200. We have had a projector for around 8 years and the EX5200 was a nice upgrade for us. The only issue we had was in the initial installation. Our previous projector was ceiling mounted and connected to our source by an 30' S-Video cable and worked fine. When we connected our EX5200 we only had black and white picture. Tech support said we needed a booster or a HDMI cable. Initially we connected with a RCA video cable and it seemed to work fine, we are installing an HDMI cable to provide better signal. In short be prepared to use HDMI or a high quality RCA cable to utilize video.

EX5200 a class act

We are very glad we did not settle for just the cheapest projector to be found on online. We went for this one as it is good in ambient light, long life bulb with cheap replacements if needed, keystone out-of-square correction, HDMI/USB/VGA connectors, one year warranty, all cables but HDMI included, Japanese design quality, carrying case included, Epson reputation/support, and we got it from a local big box store so we could return it easily if somehow it did not meet our expectations. Well, it has exceeded them right from the moment of opening the box. Has well thought-out setup menus, USB software auto-installs on any new computer connection, and the remote works very well. It is hard to think of a single meeting where it cannot be helpful. Will be using it also for video conferencing. Unexpectedly it actually improves skin tones and colors from those shown on a laptop LCD display, making the tones much richer and lifelike. It went from box to first meeting within a hour. Very easy to use, and the remote is intuitive to use as well.

Epson is Excellent

I have been teaching public communication for 20 years at the college level, with about 150 students each semester. Four major speeches are required, and most students use PowerPoint and YouTube videos, so we use LCD projectors daily. Mostly, we have used Epson for the last 10 years, and they are an excellent product. I just bought a new one, the EX5200, last September. After one term of use, I know it's the best one yet. It's very quiet, fast, and reliable. I love the sliding door in front of the projector which allows us to cover up the picture when not in use. The door activiates a mode by which the projector bulb goes off, but when you open the door, the bulb is ready to go again in about one second. Older projectors sometimes needed a minute or longer to come back on. I find this feature quite useful in a classroom setting, with a variety of projection techniques being used. Good Job!

Great for camping

Novice tehcnology person here. As a result, my purchase was made after online research and many blogs. Ultimately, it came as choice between the best pricing options and I felt that I got a good value for functions offered. After my purchase, here is what I found: The system set-up very easily with very little study time to use. it. That was imtportant. I wanted something for meetings that I will be having at various customer sites. I think that I found a good choice. The picture was very bright and with just a bit of adjustment (sliding the focus) I was able to get a very cleasr picture. Also, I used it for the first time out in an oversized tent on a makeshift screen (pvs and a painters cloth make a great camping theater) and we loved it. Were able to relocate the projecter in several locations to facilitate a great angle and minimum interference to our seating/ sleeiping arrangements. This projector should e great in a conference room, I am looking forward to it.
2 weeks later: I would still have made the purchase. I wish they made this smaller with the same brightness.

I love this projector, the image quality beats my hd lcd tv by far, it is small compact easy to use, the 2500 lumens beats many high priced units. I use it to play xbox 360 with call of duty black ops, the image brings you in to the game,.you feel as though your a cameraman inside the game filming a real war. I tell everyone about it as I think everyone should have one. I project the image on my white living room wall no need for a spendy screen.
