I purchased this as a birthday gift for my 5 year old grandson, and not only does he love it, but all of his siblings ranging from 8 to 2 love it, although i think an 8 year old would be the top of the age range for this product. I was pretty sure my daughter was going to murder me when he opened the gift (noise), but it is pretty low key and not as loud as some other toys. They did manage to crack one of the "skins", but nothing that can't be fixed with some clear packing tape. A very nice value.

I gave my friend's two year old for his bday and he absolutely loves it. When he opened the gift he asked his parents to open it up to set it up and he started playing as soon as they are done. He loves the drums passionately and what better way than to have one of your own. Lol. Great for future little drummers.
