Laptop sleeve needs improvement

Overall, the bag is well built and has adequate space for carrying books and notebooks. However, the biggest issue I have with the bag is with the laptop section. There is nothing that holds the laptop in place and keep it from moving around. The Velcro strap at the top does nothing to secure the laptop. Most other bags have a pouch/sleeve within the laptop section that provides additional protection and keeps it secure. Additionally, the trolley pass-through gap in the bag's handle does not appear to be large enough to have a handle actually pass through. I thought the bag would have had some straps on the back, similar to the ones found on other Targus bags.

Spruce EcoSmart Checkpoint Backpack - Okay for Day Travel

The Laptop Backpack bag is okay nothing special. The laptop protection section gives me little confidence that my item will not become damage. I have a Dell e7470.. I can squeeze two of these units in the laptop sleeve. A small strap is used to keep the laptop from moving around. The bottom padding is minimal. I feel the bag should have a better laptop sleeve. The bag other compartments for storage are limited. Two large books will fit.and a couple of spiral notebooks. The bag feels heavy when full. Okay for day travel. I would considered purchasing something else when travelling abroad.

Very nice backpack!

I got this backpack about 2 years ago, it's held up really well considering how it's been treated at school! It's comfy and holds most of my stuff, plus it's sorta waterproof! I can go out in the rain without worrying if my laptop will get wet. Overall I just love it! But 2 of the zippers popped out of place, that's my only complaint, and even then, I think it was my fault for putting too many books in it at once, haha. :)
Pros: sturdy, comfortable, lots of pockets, keeps rain out
Cons: zippers can pop out of place
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good backpack, bungee adjustable water pocket is too small.

Targus changed the design of water mesh pocket to bungee adjustable water pocket. Old design was too weak, new design is too small. I like the idea of bungee adjustable water pocket, but the right design should accommodate 32 oz glass bottle in the protective sleeve at t he max. and go down from there. Because of that I decided to go with Amazon basic backpack (similar features, much better water pocket design)

Love this bag

I received this bag from my employer several years ago and have used it for everything since: commutes, shopping on a bike, few-day trips, formal work meetings, etc. I personally have not used the flip-back pocket when going through TSA but the bag is otherwise everything I'm looking for. It is a good mix of style and functionality with a nice clean look and plenty of space inside without being too bulky, and is durable to boot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Holds water bottles amazingly well

I got one of these at work and am now buying one for my daughter. The bungee water bottle feature is works shockingly well. I've but giant bottles in and lugged this thing around airports and planes, and it just stays put. Amazing.
