Fails to power 21 in monitors

I tried to use HDMI to connect to my two monitors. It failed. Then tried just one monitor and again it failed. Nothing happened. This was my motivation to purchase. Complete disappointment. If you send me another unit, I will try again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
