This cordless snow shovel arrived at just the right time after a light snowfall, and it worked great. It cleared my driveway and walkway quickly, and most importantly, it saved my back from all the bending and lifting that comes with regular shoveling.
The 10" clearing width is just right for paths and sidewalks, and the directional plate helps throw the snow where I want it. The auxiliary handle makes it comfortable and easy to control. I also like that it comes with a batteries and a charger, so there’s plenty of runtime.
So far, I’m very happy with it. It handled light snow easily, and I’ll be curious to see how it performs with heavier snowfalls—but for now, it’s been a great purchase.

the BEST winter purchase of 2025

Bought this Snow Joe electric snow shovel during a CBS Deals Christmas promotion, and honestly—it turned out to be the BEST winter purchase of 2025.
We just had our first significant winter storm of the year. It started as a light wintry mix and then turned into 6–8 inches of snow.
What it does well:
• Goes through powder snow very easily
• Throws snow up to 20 feet, so there aren’t huge piles along the driveway
• One full battery cleared one lane of my driveway in about 21 minutes
• The next day, after another 2 inches overnight, it took around 10 minutes to clear the same area

Things to know before buying:
• This tool is not meant for heavy, compacted snow, especially the dense piles left by street plows. It can stop or clog, and forcing it could damage the plastic blade. I still used a manual shovel for those sections.
• This is a snow shovel, not a snow blower, so you can’t change the throw direction. Be mindful of the wind, or lighter snow may blow back onto you.
• This tool is not meant for heavy, compacted snow, especially the dense piles left by street plows. It can stop or clog, and forcing it could damage the plastic blade. I still used a manual shovel for those sections.
• This is a snow shovel, not a snow blower, so you can’t change the throw direction. Be mindful of the wind, or lighter snow may blow back onto you.
Overall, this Snow Joe made quick work of thick powder snow with minimal effort. I chose it over a full-size snow blower because heavy snowstorms only happen every few years where I live, and I didn’t want a bulky machine taking up space in the shed.
I’ve already shared the link with friends and family—they like the compact shovel size and were impressed by how well it performed.

Disappointing purchase

The first 30 minutes I used the snow shovel I was extremely impressed with it ability to clear my sidewalk. Unfortunately for no apparent reason I could see the auger blades broke leaving the snow shovel useless.
