I had a big problem with my last Crock-Pot, it heated up too hot, even on low things were getting over cooked or burn. So I bought the programmable and what a difference. I just made pork ribs in it yesterday and they came out perfect! I put the ribs in and set the Crock-Pot on low for 4 hrs. When the 4 hrs were done it went to warm and kept the ribs hot for another hr until we were ready to eat. I would highly recommend this product to others. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the lid latches seem a little flimsier than the lid on my old Crock-Pot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sloppy fit and loose parts

I bought this a month ago and in the crock pot fits very loosely in the outer shell. The lid also is very sloppy on top and hard to get a good seal. One of the top clasps is not tight to the lid for a solid hold. To be honest it just isn't near the quality of my last 6-quart crock pot. The only part I really like is the size of it.

Can you please make the lids more durable? I dropped mine as I was removing it from the package and ended up sweeping it up. Even though this was my fault I was disappointed that it shattered after one drop. However it was easy to order a replacement lid.

I have had mine for 3 years now and can not leave for the day with this model because it runs too hot and burns my food, even on keep warm setting.

Both the low and high settings will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 215° Fahrenheit, but they cycle differently in that the low setting cycles off of that temperature more frequently. Therefore, the high setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the low setting will. On the warm setting, your Crock-Pot® slow cooker will be between 165° and 175° Fahrenheit. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. The Crock-Pot® slow cooker can also boil on high and low. We recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full, including at least one cup of liquid or sauce. You may have to adjust your cook times accordingly, especially if you are using older Crock-Pot® slow cooker recipes, or adapting regular recipes for Crock-Pot® slow cooker use. If you would like to discuss this further please contact Crock-Pot™ customer service using the link below. Thank you for providing your feedback.

I had one of these in the past and broke the insert. I couldn't live without another one so I purchased the exact same one, but this time I bought the carrying case with it.

This is my second one that I have bought because of the rubber seal on the lid. It holds in the heat so much better than without. Not sure why all crock pot s avent made this way. The only complaint I have is the rubber footings at the bottom do come off but you can order replacements.
