Build was more challenging than I expected but not frustrating. In terms of accuracy it’s excellent and is undoubtedly the 1966 Ford GT-40. The opening hood with 427 engine is a fun feature and overall this is one of the more sturdy Technic car sets.

Nice build, but it doesn’t feel 18+

This was my first Technic set. I’ve never really been a fan of these 1:18 Technic cars, but I got this one because it looked like one of the better looking ones and because the Ford GT is low key probably one of my favorite cars of all time.
It was a pretty fun build, and I’m pretty pleased with the final product. But I expected more from a set specifically marketed towards 18+ adult builders carrying a significantly higher MSRP compared to other Technic cars similar in scale and detail. I would really only recommend this if you’re a very big fan of the car itself.

Why is this model $10 more expensive than the other cars in this line? It just doesn't make any sense.
All in all, this is another beautifully done technic vehicle. The subtle angles and accurately opening doors and rear clamshell are nice touches, and were huge motivators in me buying this.

Fun to build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pieces were well organized, and the instructions were easy to follow step by step. The build was fun and detailed without being too frustrating. I especially like the racing design, black and silver color, and realistic details like the engine and opening parts. Once finished, the car looks very nice and sturdy, making it a great display piece for LEGO fans or car lovers.

I received this kit as a Fathers day gift from my kids. unfortunately the kit was missing one part, I ordered a replacement and now have to wait 2 weeks before I can finish the model. What I have built so far had been pretty easy, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The build quality is excellent, just frustrating to have to wait for a part that should have been part of the kit to begin with.
I would recommend this to a friend!
