it is slow to come on and turn off. Also tis tv is NOT listed in any universal codes. makes it hard to set up.

The TV is great, but the remote that comes with the TV is a Roku Remote and will not allow you to enter a channel by number.

Yes, the Roku remote is much different than a standard cable remote.
