Great Portable Generator

This generator saved my food in the fridge and got the lights back on when that hurricane hit a few months ago. I live in the mountains in southwestern Virginia and when that storm came through, we had no power for 6 days. Luckily our local hardware had opened their doors to help out the community even though they also had no power. I grabbed the last generator and took it home. It was easy to set up and operate. It's big enough to run my fridge, cook from an electric skillet and get the lights back on. Best of all it's a great size, just right, and fuel last longer. Remember the bigger the generator is, the more fuel is required. This one can go over 10 hrs on 1.7 gal on half load. I'll never go without a generator like this one ever again. And this weekend, a snow and ice storm is headed our way, I'm ready with my FIRMAN!

It was quiet and had no issues starting it up. The Firman was able to handle our power outage. I would recommend this product.

Great generator

I bought this generator ahead of the ice storm last month and glad I did. It was the last one at the local hardware store. Power was out for 8 days. Used it to run our heating system which is an outdoor wood furnace and other electrical equipment. It never missed a beat and was easy to use. Great product to have on hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Firman Generator. I have a 10,000 watt that we use to run the house during the frequent power outages that we get in Muskoka. It has provided years of complete reliability. I purchased this for our cabin and it seems as solid as I expected. Filled it up with oil and gas, started on one light pull. I have full confidence in this generator for years to come. It would have been nice to have an hour meter. That would be my only thing, but it's a great inexpensive and reliable generator.
