Great Machine

I've been using binding machines for 2 decades. I really enjoy using this machine. The only issues I've had are the guides and it is difficult to tell if your pages are clear at the bottom to make sure you don't waste paper or covers.
Pros: Quality Construction
Cons: Punch Capacity, Document / Comb Measurement Guide, Alignment Guide, Speed

Replacement

I had purchased a Swingline Binding Machine two years ago and thought it was a great machine. It was easy to operate (looked nice) but it failed me miserably when I was under pressure to put together a presentation for a Board Meeting. Very disappointed!! The presentations had to be stapled....! I decided to replace the Swingline with a Fellowes product because I have had good experiences with their products in the past. So far, the Pulsar+300 machine has performed extremely well. The cover folds down over the machine and stores very well.

Upgrade the Instructions!

As the machine is brand new - and my first binding machine - it is very much living up to expectations. I bought the machine to bind text books for the data-modeling technique I teach, and it will save me a lot of money over using three-ring binders. However, the included instructions required a lot of trial and error to get the first one right. I strongly suggest recording a YouTube video of someone using the machine correctly, and including a link in the instructions. I can see that the process is fairly hard to describe, but easy to demonstrate. (For example, the instructions simply say "insert binding comb" but don't mention that there is right-side-up and Upside-down. A video would eliminate trial and error.)

Fellows comb binding machine

Vertical alignment of pages helps keep the pages at correct position for punch. The machine is working as advertised. The electric punch is saving my arm a lot of work! I would like to see the "on" light visible while lid is closed, so I won't forget to turn it off.

Wonderful Helpful Product

My use of the Office Comb Binder is personal. I am a retired Paralegal, and had used Binders previously in legal work. Now I use the Comb Binder for projects in my ministry at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church in Milton, GA, by binding Advent and Lenten Devotional Booklets, the Hagaddah that is used for our Passover Dinners and other projects. I also use it for my ministry in Community of Hope International for all types of reports. This product makes my work look much more professional.
