I gave up on using temp gauge until Typhur showed up. They are game changers. The connection to the WiFi and Bluetooth are extremely reliable. Go ahead and buy one, you won’t be disappointed.
I am using my Typhur Sync Quad for smoking a 14 lb. beef brisket. After trimming the brisket I cut it into 4 pieces. The Typhur Sync Quad is allowing me to monitor each of the 4 pieces individually. Since they are not all equal in size the Typhur Sync Quad is making it easy to keep track of the internal temperature of the 4 different pieces so that each can be smoked properly. Typhur Sync Quad is awesome.
The hardware probes themselves are fantastic. My problem is the base battery life in my experience is abysmal. Awful. Terrible. Will fully recharge before storing in a drawer and will be depleted less than two weeks later. I have had to tether it to the wall to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing battery life issues. That's not the experience we'd like you to have. We'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your setup and usage so we can better understand what's happening.
Bought these half a year ago and truly happy with them. It does fall short for when you need probes in a tented smoke/Cook. It over heats, but besides that it works really nice.
I have used this in a few cooks on a pellet grill. So far I am happy with these wireless probes. The app is easy to use and set the temperature and what alerts I want. My instant read and these do different in some degrees but I'm not sure if its my instant off for being ao old. Otherwise, they have worked well and helped me with low and slow cooks as well as hot and fast.
I’ve used a lot of cooking gadgets that promise “restaurant results,” but this is one of the rare ones that actually delivers — every single time. I use it on everything from weeknight steaks to a full-on Thanksgiving turkey, and it just does not miss. Steaks come out edge-to-edge perfect, turkey stays remarkably juicy, and I’m not babysitting temps or guessing when something’s “probably done.”
What I love most is how foolproof it makes the whole process: consistent, repeatable, flawless results. It takes the stress out of cooking and replaces it with confidence — like you’ve got a pro-level setup working in the background while you focus on seasoning, sides, and timing.
If you cook even semi-often and you care about nailing results instead of crossing your fingers, the Typhur Sync Quad is a total game-changer.
3 of the 4 probes work great! Probe #1 just loses connectivity all the time unfortunately. This is similar behavior to my older Typhur Dual probe device.
I have only used it once before this review. It works great other than the Bluetooth had a hard time connecting inside my house to the probes. They were approximately 60' away from the station but my smoker is thick metal which i assume was the problem. I placed the base on the smoker trailer and it worked great. The cook feature is really nice also.
