[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was absolutely thrilled to be offered the chance to try out this product! This USB-C docking station is exactly what I needed to unite my display setup for my home office. The dock itself is small, but man does it pack a punch! My setup is a 24" 1920 x 1200 monitor and a 4K UHD 27" and the docking station allows me to display my screen on both with ease and grace. Aside from its compact size which hardly takes up any space, it also simplified my workspace by allowing me to get rid of the troublesome, extra USB-C to HDMI dongles that I'd purchased, one for each monitor, AND the laptop charger! That's right, I'd completely missed the fact that the docking station would project my screen and charge my laptop at the same time! The setup was very simple, there's was only a slight confusion in regards to what exact driver needed to be downloaded and from where. My only other concern is that when disconnected from the docking station, my computer's desktop icon grid will be thrown out of whack. I think it may be a resolution issue, I'm not exactly sure. But I find myself having to restart Windows Explorer to resolve the issue. Other than that, this is a definitely value add to the home office!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try this docking station once received. Opened the box and all parts accounted for. Attached all cables to docking station, laptop and power source. Once I powered on docking station, changed a few settings on my laptop and I was ready to start two additional monitors. I can’t tell, you how impressed I was how easy it was to set up. I really like how it has additional usb plugs and much more!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a twitch streamer and I was looking for a durable solution. How can I connect together my streaming setup which is two monitors, different devices, stream deck and so on. Targus docking station helped me a lot. It took a few hours to find out how it works but it was worth the time and effort for sure. It can handle not only one but two 4K monitors also.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is one of the best universal dock I have ever used. I work with a lot of docks and this one is one of my favorites. Is has all of the right hook ups that I need to set up my whole work station. It was very easy to set up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this docking station! I was able to set it up with my laptop and 2 monitors with HDMI cables and a mouse. Also use with my headphones for online calls. Easy to set up with everything working perfectly! Highly recommend!
Confusion in the specification of the communication port with the up link. In photos 16/16 and in frame "What's in the Box", generation 1 appears: "USB 3.2 Gen 1 type-C to Host"
In the photo of frame "All About the Ports" and in frame "Specifications", generation 2 appears: "USB 3.2 Gen 2 type-C to Host" "Connection Technology USB 3.2 G2"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please go by what is listed in the Specifications as that information is the most up-to-date. Although, we do try there are times when the photos are not updated at the same time as the rest of the data. Misleading Marketing, Effectively No Linux Support
on October 13, 2022

The marketing page here says it supports Linux, along with other operating systems using x86/x64 and/or ARM architectures. This is where the problem starts. I plug it into my device, and there is no signal, so it is NOT a plug-&-play experience using existing, widely available Linux drivers.. Ok, so then I look for the drivers, and the driver page linked on this page you're reading the review on links to the wrong product, so then I have to go find the RIGHT drivers... Turns out that buried deep in the documentation, they state that they do NOT support Linux ARM, which is the antithesis to this being compatible with a lot of devices.... Then when you click on the page to download the Linux driver, it redirects to a "404 - File or Directory Not Found Page"..... So no, this doesn't work with any Linux device at the moment, ARM or x86/x64. The marketing and engineering teams really need to pay attention more to the details and customer experience.
I like the USB-C to USB-A legacy adapter, the ability to use DP and HDMI, but it's limited to Desktops & Android (which is nice to have for sure, but has some compatibility & performance issues)

I've had this docking station for a little over two weeks now. The ease of use and compatibility with all my devices is unbeatable. The docking station is working flawlessly for my professional and personal needs! For work, I have a macbook that I can connect the dock via type-c. I use it for charging, display both my external monitors with DP connection, keyboard/mouse and wired ethernet. The 100w is great for the macbook. For personal use, I have a razer laptop that I connect via usb-a because I do not need the charging feature since it requires 230w but still get the use of everything else! I couldn't imagine this product being any better than it is!
