[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have carried a medium-sized computer bag for my whole career; lugging every conceivable accessory and office utensil known to man. With this slim case, I thought I'd make a change and try an extreme opposite approach by leaving most of my paraphernalia behind. Man, I love it! I was able to travel for 5 days with this and it was great. Inside, I put my laptop, iPad, a couple file folders, calculator, a few pens and pencils, keys, and that was it. I put my chargers in my rollaboard bag and the slimcase worked great. I love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent case for a 14 inch pc or chromebook. It holds it securely, while having plenty of room for me to add other itmes, like a paper notebook, folders, writting utensils, and has an outside pocket that zips closed. The handle is nice as well, it fallsjust above my hip, but is adjustable, and the strap is actually removable. It arrived inside when it came in the mail. It ismade from 12 plastic bottles and I think that is really very cool indeed. High quality and it's made from recycled materials, I'll be buying a second one for my daughter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will begin with saying that I am really impressed by the fact that this bag is made from recycled water bottles. It’s amazing what can be done with recyclables these days. The material is durable and stains are easy to clean (I just use mild soapy water and they wipe right off). The stitching seems strong and the zippers don’t snag.
The bag is handy to carry using the handles, but I usually carry it with the shoulder strap attached because it frees my hands for other things. The bag is lightweight and slim and has more than enough room for my Early 2015 MacBook Pro 13” laptop. The charging cable fits snuggly in the main compartment of the accessory pouch and I use the small pockets for chewing gum and business cards. In general, the accessory pouch is a bit too small. In fact, I cannot zip it while my iPhone is in either of the pockets. Laying my phone in the main accessory compartment is not an option either because my laptop charging cord would scratch it.
The bag also features a strap for attaching to luggage which was really convenient for my recent trip. While, the shoulder strap would have been fine, it was so much easier wheeling my luggage through the airport with my laptop bag in tow.
Oddly, and this is the reason why I am not awarding five stars, the padding is thinnest in the areas that count most. The bottom and outer laptop side of the bag are ultra thin. The padding is only slightly better on the side where the accessories are stored.
In recap, here are the pros and cons I have discovered since I have been using the Targus 14" Cypress Slim Briefcase:
Pros Made from recycled water bottles Comfortable shoulder strap Has a zippered pouch on the front for accessories Has a strap for hanging onto luggage when traveling Material is very easy to clean
Cons Very little padding, especially in areas where needed most Pockets in accessory pouch too small for average size cell phone
Overall, this bag is lightweight, slim, and very comfortable for carrying. The padding is too thin for my comfortable, but I have found that a piece of foam packing material slipped into the compartment gives it that extra layer of protection.
