1587FC - time and money saver!

I recently purchased this unit after seeing my lead electrician save time diagnosing motors with an older unit. I am his backup and this unit was quick and easy to learn to do the basics. I am by no means a complete expert, but I can quickly rule in or rule out the "bad motor" that gets thrown under the bus so many times by mechanics.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Solid insulation tester

This was an upgrade from the first generation model 1587 and I can say it is worth every penny.
Hands down, the best feature is the Bluetooth connection via Fluke Connect. I test countless motors in an industrial setting and logging the insulation results over time is essential. Logging that data on my phone is a massive time saver and ensures accuracy.
Similarly, logging PI/DAR timed ratio tests with Fluke Connect is key to long term proactive analysis of motors.
I would recommend this to a friend!

1587 FC is a Fantastic diagnostic tool!

I have now owned this meter for about a year and am extremely pleased with it. It has great voltage sensitivity down to the millivolt level. This meter has all the normal functions of most DMM's and adds insulation resistance measurements as well! I highly recommend this meter for all skilled electricians wanting to step up their diagnostic capabilities with one meter.

Best meter I've used in .35 years of field service

This is my 3rd Fluke meter purchase in 35 years of providing industrial equipment field service. Each meter better than the last. Each one excellent in accuracy, quality and speed. The 1587 allows me to give my customers fast, accurate service evaluations of their motors, vfd drives and electrical control systems. And to make this meter even better it is made in the USA. I trust only Fluke meters when it comes to providing the very best in customer service. Thanks Fluke for consistently providing the very best in electrical test equipment.

Saw a coworker breakout his 1587 Fluke to do what i have only seen done in motor shops... I was sold. I looked and found the Fluke 1587FC for a great price. Have used this on my own now several times in place of guessing with my other more basic fluke meter, Takes the guesswork out of trouble shooting and adding a great deal of customer confidence! This meter has been a huge time saver making a better bottom line. no longer performing further repairs on motors only to find deeper problems! (Quicker repairs) I would definitely purchase this meter again! Highly recommended. Derk G. Utah

I just recently upgraded to this new 1587FC, but the 1587 has always been my go to favorite insulation tester. The fluke connect feature, while not something I use extremely regularly, does work amazingly when you need it. It is very convenient to be able to see your meter readings from your phone even if you're not close to the meter itaelf.
