I have just purchased 16 of these surge protectors for the office. I have installed them all and they have been working great. The cord is heavy duty and the right angle plug is a must when the outlet is behind a file cabinet. 3 outlets that are big enough for power adapters and the rest are standard plug setup. Highly recommend

The Tripplite Surge Protector with 25 ft cord is a solid power base for my Meade LX 90 go-to telescope. Though designed for indoor use, I use my surge protector outdoors close to the patio AC outlet. I needed to replace a mobile 12 volt DC battery that went dead after 5 years of use. This Tripplite surge protector fits my needs nicely. It sits firmly on my tiled patio and is away from the house thanks to the 25 ft cord. I can view the night sky without my roof top in the way. Very few surge protectors are on the market that can go a sizeable distance from an AC outlet. When I saw that Tripplite did, I had to have one. Now, as long as it doesn't rain, I'm happy to be outside enjoying the heavens.

I bought this mainly as a multi-plug extension cord. I picked it as it was one of the few surge protectors with a 25ft cord. It works well in my garage shop as it can reach just about anywhere. One thing I didn't know about, but particularly like, are the sliding covers for unused plugs. This is very handy in a dusty environment. The insurance is a bonus if you have any expensive tools plugged into it. Only downside so far is that the flat plug does not swivel. This isn't a big deal in my application but if you're putting the plug in a crowded socket it probably has to be on the bottom or bottom right.

I am building an HO scale model train layout, and needed something durable, surge protecting, and with a long extension cord, since there was no wall outlet near where all the electronic control equipment was to be setup. This fits the bill for what I needed. I Like the fact that it allows for both small 3-prong plugs, as well as the large 9v adapters. I purchased this protector to plug in a new treadmill and cycling trainer in my workout room. I needed the longer cord to reach the nearest outlet in the room and didn't want to run an extension cord to a regular protector. I have owned Tripp Lite products before and they always seem to get the job done.
