This was the best purchase. It shreds fantastic. You don't ever need to worry about security again. I love it!!!!

This Shedder is Perfect

There is no doubt that Fellowes makes the best quality shedders versus any other company. These machines are fine tuned and very durable. They have all the high tech features and this one is a great product for home use.

I love this shredder. It is simply awesome. Quiet, smooth, works exactly as advertised. This is my first high end unit and I am so glad I purchased it. Since buying this unit, I have filled about 6 bags with old pay stubs, bank statements, bills, etc. The shredded size is very small leaving me feeling very secure about tossing the remains in the trash. The only small gripe is it can leave a slight mess when emptying the basket, but I can live with that. Highly recommended!

Super Performance and Relibility

We bought this Shredder after we had several different kinds die or have a terminal Jam!!
We are very pleased with all the features of this Shredder and must admit we should have paid a little more and bought this one to begin with. It is performing well, keeps up with all our shredding and has not had a jam.
An added benefit it that the small bits (shreds) compact themselves so we do not have to empty it nearly as often as our previous shredders.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Warranty, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Service Guarantee, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction, shreds compact themselves less emptying needed

Nice Shredder, but could be improved.

I have several years experience with Fellowes shredders. I have to admit that they are very durable, almost bullet proof. However, just as I have encountered with previous Fellowes models I have used, the hopper / access door does not want to stay in place (closed). It keeps popping open causing the shredder to turn off. This occurs even with an empty hopper! To keep the shredder running I have to either tape the hopper shut, or put something heavy in front of it. Even considering this minor annoyance, I would strongly recommend Fellowes shredders to everyone. They are that tough!
One final note - as with all other consumer products, the design engineer(s) should have to live with their prototype before it goes into production.
