I bought this with high hopes and for 3 weeks it worked great. Now I can only use half a row of staples because the other half gets stuck under the slide. I spend more time unjamming it than tacking. I can't take it apart to figure out the problem. Total watt fastest of good money. Next time I'll just throw my money out the window.

Strong with Great Ergonomics

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed was the ergonomics of the handle. Very comfortable, easy to grip with the ability to choke up on it with out sacrificing the fantastic grip. In addition, this thing is light! Be that as it may, there is no sacrifice in strength. It is rated for 880 thousand strike cycles so, swing away! I used it to staple chicken wire to the rim joist of my shop to prevent critters from getting underneath. It was effortless compared to using my conventional manual stapler. No squeezing just plain ole swinging. It is front drop in loading and accepts 5/16”, 3/8” or ½” staples. The label on the tacker has specs for 3 brands of staples which makes it convenient, no fumbling around for the instructions. In addition, it has a pinch latch and is anti-jamming and anti-locking. Overall, this is my new go to tacker, I really am impressed with how light and comfortable it is which no doubt will reduce fatigue. I highly recommend this for your tool box.

Froze up after only 700 staples.

I bought this stapler last evening, began using it today and it froze up after only 700 staples. I loved that it was so lightweight. I can't get the driver blade to back up enough to advance another staple. I'm really surprised. I've been a staunch supporter of DeWalt for decades. I will return it for replacement tomorrow. I'm just really shocked that it failed so soon. I'll wait to see how the next one works before refusing to recommend it to a friend, simply because I love DeWalt products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw this Hammer Tacker made of Carbon Fiber I said wow!! This is like having a piece of an Aircraft Material #787! Is super lightweight, and less effort to tack, as fast as you want, your joint will be pleased, once you used it you won't go back to the old heavy one. Works great, awesome grip, easy to load , so far I haven’t had any issues.

Constant jamming from Day 1

My brother bought this which we used for roofing and it worked so well I bought one too. Mine is terrible as it has jammed constantly since the day I bought it. I know it is not the staples because the same staples work well in his. Very disappointed!

i do hvac so I use the “slap hammer” for Hanging ductwork. It worked great. Then climbing out of the attic I dropped it about 4-5 feet juggling stuff comeing down the ladder .. bam explodes into prices clip shooters out staples shoot out . It was the first time I’d ever used it. The metal ones would never of broke from that so . Carbon fibers equals plastic hammer . I thought it’s would be stronger

I bought one of these to hang paper targets on OSB. The thing was junk and never worked. I would have returned it but expected it to be like all dealt tools and work. I guess I will go back to either an Arrow or a Stanley Hammer Tacker
