Amazing — Mostly!

This robot lawnmower was the easiest of the three I've owned to set up and use. Hands down. It also does the best job of cutting so far. Having the built-in trimmer sounds nice, not sure how effective it is so far. (Time will tell.) I like that it mows in rows rather than wandering at random. Faster job completion and much neater looking lawn. Even leaves the "rows" of a good hand mow job. But I do find one shortfall, which is that object avoidance so far has been a little iffy. Right out of the box it mowed over my dog's plush toys he leaves everywhere. I found some adjustments to make it better but I still don't trust it completely. To avoid issues I make sure to set a schedule when me and dog are out walking and I pick up his toys before we go. Not something I had to do routinely with the previous Worx Vision but even so, it pays to do it with the better, faster cutting it does. Even though I have a small lawn I bought the biggest unit as it will age better, particularly the battery. And in an hour the job is done and I don't have to worry about whether it will interfere with toys or dog tails. The Vision ran at random and for longer throughout the day, yet still didn't get everything uniformly clipped. So this is a big win with small caveats.

Easy and quick to set up. Cut quality great! Nice that it will change the direction of cut weekly but I wish I could control the areas that this function worked on. I have areas that it has difficulty because of the transition between slopes and it would be nice to keep the mower going in the same direction but changing the direction of mowing in the other areas. The performance between slopes is fair. It can tear up the grass a little but rarely gets stuck. The slope of my yard is 30 or 17 degree at its worst. It does charge quickly which is a plus.

Great Product - Poor Documentation

The mower and its ability to keep the lawn neatly mowed without having to break a sweat is fantastic. However, getting it set up can be a long painful process. The instruction manual is inadequate, and the controlling app desperately needs some improvements. After spending hours over the course of five days mapping the yard and making numerous tweaks to fine tune the no-go areas and the borders to trim, deleting a small area near the charging station wiped out everything. Even though the map was supposedly backed up, no restore was available. The manual makes no warning that this is even a possibility. When defining the map, there an auto-map function that works in some areas but then veers off course requiring you to back it up and continue manual mapping. The mower cannot easliy be guided in a straight line when mapping. You end up going very slowly trying to create the least zigzag possible. There need to be an ability in the app to redraw a border as a straight line. I'm in the middle of recreating the deleted map from scratch. Hopefully I learned enough that the process should be easier this time. The mower itself is a great machine

I am getting frankly too old and still too busy and have not taken reasonable care of my lawn for many years. Consequently weeds took over the lawn. Looks beautiful now. I just signed up with a company that will fertilize it and put weed killer, since if it’s getting mowed regularly I might as well be mowing grass instead of weeds. This handy little robot feels like my new best friend.

Professional-Looking Results With Almost No Effort

I’ve owned and maintained my own lawn for years, and I take a lot of pride in how it looks. I was honestly skeptical about robotic mowing at first—I figured it would be a novelty or require constant babysitting. The GOAT A3000 LiDAR Pro proved me wrong in a big way.
What impressed me most right away was the setup and navigation. The LiDAR mapping is incredibly accurate, and it handles my yard’s layout—including slopes, edges, and obstacles—without confusion. I don’t have a fence line separating my property from the neighbor’s, and it still stays exactly where it should. That alone gave me confidence.
The cut quality is what really sold me. Instead of one big weekly mow, the lawn gets maintained continuously, and the result is a consistently clean, carpet-like appearance. Even in early spring when there’s still dormant grass mixed in, the yard looks tidy and well-kept. It’s the kind of look you normally only get from very frequent mowing.
Another big win is the time savings. I used to plan parts of my week around mowing. Now the mower just does its job quietly in the background—even early in the morning—and I can focus on other things while still enjoying a great-looking lawn.
A few things I particularly appreciate:

If you’re someone who cares about your lawn but also values efficiency and consistency, this machine is absolutely worth considering. It doesn’t replace pride in lawn care—it enhances it.
I can honestly say this is one of the most satisfying lawn upgrades I’ve made.

GOAT is Great!

This machine is pretty amazing. It saves me a lot of time and energy. Takes a little bit to get it set up but the software is easy to use and it has all the info you need. The A3000 seems to be well built and sturdy. I'm very happy with it.
