They must have patched Madden NFL 24 because the game plays pretty well. It is fun to call plays. The graphics are really good, the presentation is above average. I find the mini-games to be a lot of fun as they turn you into a better player. The mini-game training is only for three players anyway after the off-season. You should be sure to go on the internet and learn what Cover 1, Cover 2, Nickel means etc. to become better on defense. If you have the slightest interest in American Football, I imagine you would be happy getting this under the Christmas tree, especially as it is on sale.

Just another copy/paste effort from the developers at EA Sports. Some mini games were added and parts of gameplay were improved but generally this is yet another nail in the coffin of Madden games over the last 15 years. The Franchise mode is horrendous and the Superstar mode is devoid of any real purpose. Charging $70+ for this roster update of a game should be criminal. The Ultimate Team/micro-transactions is where EA make most of their money so they don't bother with any other aspects of the Madden game. Sadly, EA Sports has exclusivity agreement with the NFL until 2026 so saddle up cause it's going to be a bumpy ride.
If you want to play an NFL style simulation football game, I recommend anything from 2015-2018 because you'll get essentially the same version as this year's. At least it'll only cost you $10.

Every Madden game has been a hit. Nik only writes reviews on video games because he's too much of a wimp to play the real game. If you're going to sit behind a screen and act like you're too good for a video game that's just sad. I guess it's also pretty sad that I'm responding to a geek.
