I am 3 weeks into the Garmin experience after dropping my 4 year old Apple watch in a lake. The watch is beautiful. The screen and buttons seem to be extremely high quality. I love how customizable the main screen and running data screens are. Battery life without always on display is not quite what I was expecting i get about 6 days before a charge is needed always on got about 3 days. Navigating the watch can be difficult and takes some getting use too, did not find learning it to be a very user friendly experience. Not sure I am taking 100% advantage of all its features. Not happy at all with its optical HR monitor. Mine never ramps up. Seems to keep it well in day to day and lower intensity exercise but once I kick into gear and push my HR (where I know it should be spiking) the monitor tells a different story. I verified this with a Garmin HR strap. Tried different wrist straps with no success. I understand they have limitation's however my old watch didn't have this problem. Frustrated to have to move to a chest strap to get reliable HR data after such a high price point.
Beautiful watch. Amazing health features. Wish I could keep it, but I tried and cannot get used to running, or living, without cellular (text and calls) on my watch. Returning and going back to Apple unfortunately.
After many years my Fenix5s battery died and I debated long and hard about whether to buy another Garmin or Apple 10. Apple now has very good health metrics but Garmin still has superior GPS. Needless to say I am very happy with the Fenix 8! Health metrics, HR and sleep tracking are much more accurate. The look is sleek. Recommend highly
My boyfriend bought this watch for me. I absolutely love how I can track my time and pace. I am not a big tech person, but this watch is so easy to use. I love that it connects through Bluetooth with the app on my android and I can see how well I am doing with my training. Honestly it's the best gift anyone has ever bought me.
Wish I could find feminine watch bands to compliment my Garmin

If you'd like to have a different watch band for your Fenix 8, we carry a number of compatible watch bands that you may enjoy. In particular, we have nylon bands and leather bands that have a very elegant look. You can see the available options here (everything on this page will fit a 43 mm Fenix 8): http://ms.spr.ly/6421Sh7aP *KC
Love the look of the watch, and the features it has are not lacking. However my issue is that there are some bugs that need to be worked out.
I feel like its not as solid in terms of software vs apple watch which is a letdown.
It would be great if garmin put additional attention in to their software and watch usability to ensure everything works as expected. May be an issue with software q/a… not sure.
Other than that im pleased with it. Comfort is actually great especially since i have the 43mm.
