I owned a Total Gym several years ago and replaced it with a heavy weight machine. After using the weight machine for a few years I decided to purchase another Total Gym. At my age I realized I didn’t need to lift heavy weights to stay in shape. The Total Gym provides the versatility and flexibility that I need to stay in shape at the tender age of 61. I don’t have as much space in my new townhouse so I simply fold it up after using it and I am done for the day. It is truly a life saver.

I believe this a great tool for working out. It covers all muscles using a variety of rages of motion through gradual stages that you control. I'm 67 and wished I had bought this ten years ago. It is going to take me some time but I'm going to work myself back into shape. The problem with retirement is inactivity and the Total Gym is the answer without going to a fitness center. Lastly for the cost I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the Total Gym XLS and the helpful exercise DVD's included as part of the package.

I bought this about 5 weeks ago, In about a week I turn 62 and I am already feeling better then I have in a long time, my stomach is getting smaller, my chest feels bigger, my breathing is a great deal better, and my strength is greater. Doesn't take long, just takes commitment. I'm already at 3 sets/3 days a week, on the off days I run 1 1/2 miles. I can't wait to see the toning up I feel as I will be in the spring. I'm not w/o health issues for I have Asthma and this is definitely helping in the breathing department.....This Total Gym is well worth the price and the results that follow.

I am 75 with arthritis and am working improving myself. I asked myself the other day if I was sorry I bought this. I told myself no. I can only do a little bit right now, but hope to slowly build up to a lot more. Feels so refreshing when I've done all I can. I will definitely be using this almost every day. I've been wanting one for years because of its versatility with all muscles. Glad I waited for this more sturdy model. It's heavy but just about everything at my age is heavy. I owned a Total Gym for over 20 years but had to give it up when I moved a few years back. I am in my 60's and have had a number of different equipment since then but decided I needed the Total Gym back. I find that I can select the exercises I want and need and workout in my home again. I have started with one of the overall work out cards provided and find that it still is a great piece of equipment. My girlfriend is also using the Total Gym moving from a Pilates machine.
