The Total Gym is Terrific

I am a former amatuer powerlifter, lifted for over 35 years, now I am little older, I use less weights to reduce impact on muscle joints. The Total Gym is a good rounder in providing anarobic and arobic exercises; it is versatile in all types of excercises and exercises all parts of the body. I know it took years to develope and I watched those commercial with Chuck Norris for years using the Total Gym. Chuck's right, this is a great total exercise tool. Thank you Chuck.

Love the Total Gym

Not to make this ALL about me and my problems but long story short I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes over the summer and lost 70 pounds because of the illness. I got better, medicated, etc. but started getting fat again so right before Christmas I decided to go on Weight Watchers and get an exercise bike. I didn't really like the bike (it was cheap) and decided I needed to look for something else to supplement my diet. Always trying to save a buck - I bought a cheap Total Gym ripoff on Amazon that was good enough for the price I suppose but came with absolutely no instruction, tips, or even an exercise chart. I bought a Total Gym DVD as recommended for the generic but the exercises were not the same and I NEEDED INTENSE INSTRUCTION because I basically had never exercised a day in my adult life. The "cheap one" also was noisy and scratched up upon delivery so I returned it and decided to buy a real exercise machine. After many days of researching the Total Gym XLS and other high end exercise equipment I settled on the Total Gym - thanks in part to Chuck Norris (I love that guy). I had it set up and was exercising within 15 minutes. Delivery was straight forward and fairly quick. The workouts are fun and challenging and I feel like I'm already getting great results. Between WW and Total Gym I've dropped about 10 pounds in 3 weeks although the benefits of the Total Gym go far beyond just losing weight. I'm developing strong muscles and healthy habits (read: I HAVE ABS after all!) Also (while this may not be recommended for all diabetics) I have been able to manage my illness through diet and exercise alone. No more insulin or pills for now and my doctor is cool with it. I almost died over the summer so this is a big deal for me. One tip: BUY THE AB KIT or get it bundled when you buy direct. The workout is brutal but your waist line will start shrinking almost immediately. Bottom line - I love the Total Gym and have been working out every day since it was delivered. That's going from 0 exercise EVER to 25 - 30 minutes. I feel stronger and more confident than I have in my entire adult life.

Wish I had gotten it sooner !

I have worked out on a regular basis for over 30 years. I've been a member of many exercise places. I've used a Personal trainer twice a year, 16 sessions at a time/twice a week) for the past 6 years, and gotten good results. But I found myself not going to the gym between training sessions. And after the sessions were finished I didn't train myself as hard as I should have. After purchasing the Total Gym, I find myself working out almost everyday. I love that I can tailor my workout sessions to fit what I need to work on....plus get an all over body workout. I am glad I did the training sessions, because it taught me the correct way to do things. But I also wish I had purchased the Total Gym a little sooner. I've told many people about it. I absolutely love it!

Love my Total Gym!!!

Since buying the Total gym I have felt stronger than I have in years. I use the Total gym for a full body workout. It's amazing all the different exercises you can do on the total gym. I've always hated doing squats but love doing them on the Total Gym. And the best part of all is as your working out the Total gym stretches the muscles your working on so when your done your workout you don't feel as tight as a free weight workout. Bottom line. This is an awesome product.

I use the total for just about everything now. I originally brought the total gym to flatten my stomach. It was so easy to use now I use it for everything my legs ,my shoulders, my back this thing is great. I've only had the total gym for about 4 months and already I've lost 15lbs, and 2 inches off my waist. I even brought a second one for my daughter.
