I have bulging discs in my back

I hurt my back 4 years ago lifting a piano so I am unable to do conventional weightlifting because of bulging discs in my back. I have not been able to successfully exercise since then. I gained a considerable amount of weight. Since I started using the total gym I have lost a total of 11 pounds and counting. I just received the gym 2 months ago! The total fitness gym is perfect for me because it uses body weight. Because of the board and the pulleys I have basically no stress on my back. I can work out, gain strength and it helps strengthen my back as well. I recommend this gym to anyone with back problems. It's a winner.

Easy and fun to use

Love my total gym. I purchased it to start strength training and I find it easy to use with the exercise cards showing pictures and giving lots of ideas. The machine is easy to switch to different exercises and its just plain fun. I do not like to strength train but I have been doing it using this machine. Thanks total gym!

This a great way to work out, I haven't taken full advantige as yet due to awaiting a hip replacement. But still doing a few things and they are helping. The delivery guy was supper he helped bring it into my home for me, setup was just like they said it would be easy, and after watching the vido my wife could do it, and yes a gift to myself, to maybe save my life.

I use the total gym daily and love it. I think it would benificial to be more specific in the training deck as to which muscles are being targeted instead of which part of the body. Apart from that, I am very happy with my purchase.

Watch and listen to the video to learn the how to's before setting up. Video will also teach proper technique. I would start on a level 2, not 3, until you get use to it. My physical therapist was thrilled when she heard I bought one!!
