Perfect for strength training

I bought the Total Gym for strength training. I just turned 50 and needed something to get my strength back and to continue to train to help prevent osteoporosis as I grow older. This has been a great tool. I am very pleased with the Total Gym. I use the DVD's and I am on the beginning complete workout.
Pros: Quiet, Strengthens, Comfortable, Easy To Use

I love this at home work out product. The fact that I can work out whenever I want is great because I have health issues and can't always exercise consistently. The fact that I can get toned quickly and easily is a plus too.

I love to run and lift free weights. I recently had knee surgery and am unable to run and do fast lateral movements like I once could, however, with the total gym, I am able to get a full body workout and the strength training is great and so many routines on one simple machine, I never stop loving it. Weight loss is a great benefit as well. Excellent purchase.

I purchased the Total Gym XLS to supplement a "boot camp" I attend in my neighborhood by a certified personal trainer. I have it set up in my office so that I am not tempted to look past it daily if it stored away. Even though I purchased a used/reconditioned version (at a substantial discount) it was packaged and unmarked as though it were a brand new piece of equipment! I have made a commitment to pop in the beginner dvd and have used it for the last 3 months every other day. There are times I am on it 5x's a week! Other weeks 1 or 2 times depending on my travel. I work out of my home and so there are many days I will stretch out on my Total Gym and end up engaging in a mini work out! I've lost 20 lbs. and 3 inches on my waist, but built muscle mass in that same time. It will only work if you choose to make it a part of your regimen! It's the first piece of equipment in 26 years that I have found that can aid me in meeting all my personal fitness goals! Great investment in oneself!
