Great workout machine

I like the versatility that it offers. You can work the same muscle group several different ways. I have chosen like 60+- cards and arranged them in a logical fashion and go through all of them twice a week. I feel healthier and stronger. Plus it's enjoyable. I turn on my ipod and listen to sermons or music and just get lost in the moment. I like how I can just workout, not follow an instructor. The videos that came with the machine are informative, but get boring. I prefer to do the exercises on the cards. Oh, I owned the total gym 100 first and used it for years before upgrading to this one. I loved the original too!

I'm really pleased with my Total Gym. However, I think it should be noted that the rewards gained from the Total Gym are totally dependent on what YOU PUT INTO IT. If you set it up and use it for a clothes rack, you'll probably be buying bigger clothes in the future. On the other hand, if you set it up and use it so much that dust can't collect on it, you'll reap the rewards of better overall fitness. The Total Gym is really a great machine. It will reward you with exactly what you put into it. Start slow if you need to...just stick with it! That's the most important thing you can remember...just stick with it.

A tad pricey and the original customer sales rep was slightly confusing to a novice, but I do love it! I get up before my 15 year old and I prefer to work out in the morning. Because it is so quiet I don't have to worry about waking him. I also like the low-impact. I have worked out muscles I didn't know I had with the way you can angle the resistance in almost any fashion. Make it more affordable and it will be perfect.

After waking up at the age of 68 and 180 pounds with knees that need to be replaced and a bad back I thought there was no method of exercise that would work for me until I bought the Total Gym XLS. Totally low impact and easy on the joints I still found myself huffing and puffing at the intensity of the workouts. I quicky lost 15 pounds and got rid of the exercise bike and treadmill which hurt my knees and back so much that I could not use more than 2 days in a row. I love the Total Gym and I can now work out to keep the weight off without further damaging my back and my knees. Oh, and did I mention how fun it is and I usually warm up while watching TV and doing the squats. A great machine for all ages.

I really like my Total Gym XLS, I ordered it last fathers day. After unpacking my Total Gym I set it up but did not use it right away, I am trying to get back into a exercise routine again since it has been years since I worked out. The video helped me initially get started with easy to follow basic exercises, I will follow these exercises until I am ready to progress. Total Gym makes it so easy and buying this model at 60% off made the price worth getting it. The quality is higher as expected on this model and it really is easy to set up and store away when I am finished working out.

Love the machine, was tricky to set up at first but after a couple times became easy. Is bulkier than advertised could not store away under furniture or in closet, just too big even folded. But I leave it set up in a spare room so its all good!
