For someone who never worked out the 6-8 minute workout video was a great way to get started. I could feel it right away. With the different levels anyone can use it, from experienced to novice.

I use my Total Gym XLS to strengthen after a injury, weight loss, and firming up all areas. I hate to workout but I can workout on this because the ease of going from one exercise to another doesn't seem like exercising. The Total Gym XLS makes work-outs fun and stress free. Have fun and enjoy your new body at the same time.

I don't know why I waited so long! I have looked at buying a Total Gym for years, but kept putting it off. Glad I did, I love it! It is as easy to use as the commercials make it look, it stores easily, sets-up easily and I have started to see some results in the 1st month. If you are undecided like I was, buy it now - you will be glad you did too!

Great for rehabilitation and fitness

As a law enforcement professional injured on duty, I found the Total Gym benificial to my rehabilitation. My goal is to return to full duy as soon as possible. The Total Gym is helping me achieve that goal. Total gym minimizes the impact to the injury sites, while supporting and strengthening the areas I need for complete recovery. I like the ease of use, the quality of the construction and the gym's storability. It would be nice if the XLS had a pully pocket, so that connecting and disconnecting from the glideboard were easier. Additionally, I would like to see a locking mechanism attached to the training deck, so that it is not so easily knocked off when adjusting the height of the machine. I am very happy with the Total Gym and the results I have been getting thus far.

Cons: Should have pully pocket, Wingbar liners that stay, Lock for training deck

I use while watching TV or listening to CD's, for motivation to keep at it. Easy to tailor to individual capabilities. Instructional typeface is too small - required some trial and error for some set-up (foot straps). Very good for help with upper body (arm) stengthening, especially for women.
