Total Gym Makes Exercise Easy

I am starting out on the first level and find it awkward trying to hold on to the pulley handles. Looks like there would be somewhere to hook them while you are trying to get on and off the seat or turning around. Also, I think it is awkward trying to hook and unhook the pulley underneath the seat for different exercises. I thought it would be easier to put under bed but decided to leave it up. I had a little trouble getting it together, but overall I really like it!
Pros: Comfortable, Sturdy, Strengthens

My wife and I are in our 70's. We got our Total Gym XLS one month ago and use it every day, following the charts and dvd's that came with the unit. Almost immediately we noticed improved muscle tone, flexibility and endurance. We almost gave up on X country skiing but now it is much easier and more fun! It's great!

It is so easy to use and you can get in a quick, full workout, even if you are strapped for time, before heading off to work.
Pros: Complete total body work, Easy To Use, Quiet, Sturdy, Strengthens

I believe this product has everything I need to strengthen and tone....and help with weight loss. You can tell it is made very well and much thought has gone into this piece of equipment... it's very sturdy. I love how accommodating it is to my individual needs and also that you can gradually increase resistance as you continue your exercises. The programs sent with the equipment are really helpful and easy to implement. I haven't found anything that I don't like about The Total Gym and I am determined to continue using. I'm 60 years old and am very thankful I finally got serious about keeping fit...with Total Gym.

What I like most about the Total Gym is that you can get a decent workout in a fairly short period of time. It progresses with you. It is in my workout room waiting for me and I do not have to run to the gym to get a workout. Both my wife and I use it and I have heard no complaints from her.

This product is everything they advertise it to be. I'm 6'0", 235#. The slide board is amply padded and comfortable. The accessories are sturdy and solid, and connect securely to the frame. I do a workout on it everyday if only for 15 minutes. Then when watching TV, during commercial breaks, I do some of the standing aerobic exercises. I'm 46, been away from the gym for over 10 years. I'm slimming down, toning up, and having a better sense of well being than I've had in a long time. An unexpected benefit was that my left shoulder and elbow are getting stronger, feeling better, and less painful from a motorcycle wreck I had last year. Nothing broken, just dislocated. I also have degenerative disc disease, and have had to work around training that causes spinal compression, like overhead shoulder presses. Lying inverted on the slide board, with the pullup/ overhead press bar located at the foot of the board, REALLY does take pressure of your spine so you really can do those overhead presses without fear of back injury. Anybody interested in maintaining some level of fitness should seriously consider the Total Gym.
