I have used the TotalGym for 3 months, religiously, for 3 months. I'm 75 years old and I love this workout machine. I got the bike and the Ab crunchers for the elbows. My wife is 65 and we rotate exercising and the other rides a HealthRider while waiting.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sturdy, Comfortable, Easy Storage, Easy To Use, Strengthens

Well I work nights and I have been seeing the info mercials for the total gym. I was a bit hesitant to even find out how much it cost. But my husband and I both really need to lose weight but do not want to go to the gym. So I got online and looked it up and could not pass up the offer for the XLS. So I ordered it [...]we set it up and I tried out a 10 minute trial work out. I could totaly feel muscles that I havent felt in years being worked. I am so happy that I decided to purchase my total gym and look forward to many work outs with the high hopes of a smaller more inshape body.

I use the Total Gym primarily for strength training for my upper body. The great thing about it is I can work out in the bonus room where my wife spends her evening, and not be separated in another part of the house, especially since I work very long hours and often get home late in the evening. I have not encountered any negative features or aspects of this equipment. I just didn't believe it could build muscle like the free weights I've been using for years.

I am pleased with the product. My only complaint is that the foot rest should be rectangle and not oval shaped. It is had to do calf raises. Other than that it is wonderful.

I started with the 6-8 minute workouts and built on them. I had completely stopped working out and felt the need to get back into shape. This is working really well in transitioning me back into shape without hurting me. I love it. And it is doing a great job for me.
