Life changing machine!

I had not worked out in any way in almost 20 years. I sufferd through a serious depression due to numerous deaths in my family and the break up of my marriage. I let myself go physically to the point of having medical conditions and general fatigue. As a Correctional Sergeant, that was not good. I had watched the infomercials for years and always wanted to buy a total gym but never did. Then I ws injured during training at work. My doctor told me that if I wanted to work in this career field I needed to make some changes. So I took the leap and purchased my total gym in Oct of 2010. It is now Nov 30 th. as of today I have lost nearly 30 pounds by using my total gym and changing my eating habits. I workout on my total gym daily! I feel better than I have in years!! I know I have a long way to go before I reach my goal weight, but I have never been so motivated as I am with my total gym!! I thank you all for building such a fantasic machine and making easy to operate so that even serverly overweight people like me can use it and can begin to re-build not only our outside but our way of life!!!

I love this product. I tell everyone about it. I use it about 3 times a week. I have had many other home gyms that became clothes hangers. Not ths one. Love it.

I had my 3 lower lumbar discs removed in my back. The discs were fused, which limits motion of my lower spine. I have gained some weight because I have been unable to use most exercise techniques for the past 6 years. The Total Gym XLS has helped me to once again exercise and rebuild muscle that I've lost. This machine is very comfortable when using it, and the smooth operation works great. Without this machine I would have very little if any options to exercise. It's been a life saver. A good workout that is not hard on the back. I hope to become physically fit enough to get back into law enforcement using the Total Gym XLS.

I've used our total gym an average of 3 days per week for the last 7 weeks. The pipes are coming back but I have had to add a treadmill to get the extra cardio. The start up video is really good and gets you familiar with the different ways to use the total gym. I think, the longer I work with it and the more I learn from the extra videos and user guides they send better it will get. I wanted a BowFlex. My wife said let's try this. Glad I did. Last thing, if you are going to use it on a hardwood or laminate floor, use some small no skid mats under the feet to protectyour floor.

Great workout machine

This machine has motivated us to work out on a daily basis. My husband has a lot of lower back pain, but the Total Gym does not aggravate it making is possible for him to strenghten muscles and loose weight without any stress on his back. You can isolate what you want to work on. The smooth gliding rollers and adjustable features make it easy to choose what level you want to work out at. We would recommend this machine to anyone who has back problems so they are able to get some exercise without hurting themselves.

Perfect Machine In So Many Ways

Started using the Total Gym right out of the box and my wife and I have not been disappointed. It feels great to workout on a regular basis without having to drive to a gym or try to go walking in inclement weather. It is the perfect machine for us.

We use for overall fitness and strength training. The only negative I have found so far is it is a little difficult to raise and lower.
