This unit i beyond my expectations, both in engineering/built quality heavy duty, AND in the way it works multiple muscle groups simultaneously. What else is there to say? Oh, ok, buttery smooth sliding and operating. I've been lifting weights for over 50 years and this machine gets you up and going a lot faster than free weights and doesn't have the dangers of free weights and you're not trying to figure out where to put the weights where people can't trip over them.

Pretty good little machine. Easily stored so makes it convenient. Can get decent without. Obviously not on same level as weights but pretty solid still. Price wise definitely paying for the convenience more than anything.

I really enjoy the total gym with the exception of 2 things. 1) maybe during the shipping process one of the floor caps was broken off. 2) I don’t like how the pully cables can just fall off of the hook. I wish it could be locked on more securely until I physically take it off, and it’s not all that easy to put back on with its positioning and sometimes can be frustrating.

I've had my Total Gym for over ten years and it is the only home exercise item that I've purchased that I've consistently used as an adult. Over the past two years I had not used it very much as I'd joined a new LA Fitness in my neighborhood. However, with the pandemic now closing all gym options I'm back to using my Total Gym and still able to get a great workout. It's more expensive now than when I originally purchased it but I still think it is a bargain compared to so many other options that will ultimately just collect dust.
