Its very versatile...many exercises in one unit. It doesn't take up much space for storage...you just need good space to set it up and use it. Its quite heavy so its not that easy to move around and be careful of hurting one's back doing that. Its better to find a place wher you will use it most of the time. I'm very happy with this product so far. I still have a lot to learn with it.
Pros: Sturdy, Quiet Operation, Easy To Use, Easy Storage, Strengthens
Cons: Hard To Set Up

A great piece of home gym equipment

I use the Total Gym for general fitness and weight loss. I've used an older version in the past and have recently upgraded to a newer model. If you have little time and want a complete, physical training tool, the Total Gym works. I lost 30 lbs in 3 months working 4 days a week on my total gym. There is a little difficulty with the initial setup but if you read the instructions (alot), you'll get it figured out. Best product for the money on the home gym market. I am totally happy with this product

The Total Gym XLS is a great workout! I use it 4 times a week and just purchased the cyclo trainer to attach to the machine. You can truly get a cardiovascular workout when using the Total Gym. My son and his friend thought they would give it a try (really thought it was a joke). They were panting and puffing in no time and were impressed! I can't wait to purchase the weight bar, abs and dip bar to add to this machine.

Absolutely the BEST!

I am a 42 year old mother of 4 and was in pretty good shape when I purchased. Within 2 weeks I went from pretty good shape to absolutely amazing shape. I have been doing Pilates daily for over 4 years and this machine toned and firmed problem areas that Pilates could not do. My 8 year old son said "Mom, I did not think old ladies were supposed to have a six pack". My husband commented that I have absolutely no flab on my body and look better than before kids. Wow!! I work out less than 20 minutes a day. This machine is absolutely amazing! My husband right away was impressed with how sturdy it is. I have two competitve soccer players (ages 13 and 8) and one level 7 competitve gymnast (age 11) and they use this also. There is a wonderful workout for kids and no worries about injuries with heavy weights since it is all about their own body resistence. My 3 year old even pretends he is working out because he sees how much fun we all have with this. My only regret is not purchasing sooner! I have never written a review for a product because I never was impressed enough to do so - this machine absolutely exceeded my expectations. For me, it gave me my 6 pack back; toned my rear and thighs and helped me say good-bye to cellulite!

I love the total gym it is so simple to use . My body feels stronger an more flexable. I don't have to streach before or after I use the gym. It's easy to go from one excersize to the next. The CDs are awsome to workout to.

I use total gym almost every day and sometimes twice a day. I love doing the exercises and it is fun to do them. In the beginning it let me know that I was out of shape. The varied exercises will concentrate on the various muscle groups and they all are fun to do. So far, I have not found anything to complain about.
