great for the disabled

the comment above for describe yourself. let me answer this correctly. i have MS, now for 34 years, raised 2 daughters, put them thru college, 1 married and i am a retired it director, automatrion design and engineer director, all in a wheel chair. but it was only possible because of total gym xls, i am on my 3rd one now, ordering more wheels cause allready worn these out. if thats not enough reason to own a total gym xls, i dont know wghat is. its still keeping going, more needed now than ever. great machine, cant wait till i can afford a gym model.
Pros: Sturdy, Others setup - disabled, Strengthens
Cons: Needs foot restrants, Noisy Operation, Uncomfortable

I had been looking for a way to get into shape and lose weight. I had tried excercise videos, which were OK, but took a toll on my knees, so I would quit after a short time. After seeing the Total Gym on TV, I thought, this might be my answer, and it has been! I have lost 30 lbs., thus far, but more impressive than that is the way my body has changed. My shape is more toned and my energy and stamina level is so much better. I work 12 hour days on my feet and was really having a hard time with my legs, knees, feet hurting by the end of the day and paying for it on my days off and having a hard time getting around. Since I've been on my Total Gym, those issues are gone, the more I use it, the better I feel. When I went on vacation this summer for 2 weeks and didn't do my Total Gym routine, all those aches and pains returned. I LOVE working out with the Total Gym. It's easy (awkward at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to do), fun, and gentle on the joints! I use it only 3-4 times a week (would love to do more, if it weren't for those 12 hour days)and it has made a world of difference in my life. The Extreme Makeover routine (on provided video) works wonders, I am up to 3 reps of each exercise which takes about an hour. Three hours a week makes a world of difference. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to get into good shape and/or lose weight! The only con I would say would be space. My gym is setup in an extra room. It's cumbersome to set up if you had to everyday, but it would be worth it for the results.

I use The Total Gym at least once a day, and 6 days a week. To be honest I dont do a specific workout plan just kind of mess around on it, but to my surprise I can visibly see a difference. After getting it and learning of the cost through the internet(it was a gift) I was at first in disbelief. However after using it I personally would have bought it for myself after experencing the difference. Give it a try, at the very least you could just return it if you werent happy with it so honestly you would have nothing to lose.

My husband uses the TG to strengthen and stretch his shoulders. I use it to strengthen my upper body as well.No heavy weights, just smooth easy motion at any level on the TG.

My husband and I absolutely love the XLS Total Gym, it is very sturdy and we are confident that it will support us, no matter what exercises we are doing. That is a huge plus in my book!!!! We received it about 2 weeks ago and use it almost everyday, well worth the investment. I would recommend this system to anyone.

I am loving my Total Gym

I've had my total gym for a couple of weeks now and I have actually started seeing some results in the number of inches lost around my waist. I used to go to the gym around 3 to 4 times a week. I've given up my gym membership and use the total gym extensively and I also do a lot of walking.
