I really have no need for anything else! The Total Gym XLS with attachments is the easiest and believe it or not, the most relaxing piece of excercise equipment I have ever used. I would not trade it for anything else. I use it 3-4 times a week at the present and it keeps me toned up with very little effort. Amazing!!

I've had my TG for about 4 weeks, but have used it only about 1 1/2 weeks, due to travel & illness. However, I was totally surprised at how much of a workout just the beginner program gives. I have followed the DVD a few times, and now can pretty much do that on my own. I can't offer any results yet, since I haven't been able to use it a lot, but am back on track to using it at least 2-3 times per week alternating with walking on my treadmill. I do not like going to a gym to workout, and I had surgery on both knees several years ago limiting what I can do, so this TG is just perfect for my workout needs.
Pros: Comfortable, Sturdy, Easy To Use, Quiet Operation, Strengthens

This equipment has answered my longing for a quiet workout away from hip hop and loud acid rock stuff that has been ruining my need to drive into the local three different gyms and not have to have lots of bulky equipment in the house.I now can choose to listen to TALK SHOWS, CLASSICAL or nothing. Soooooo happy with TOTAL GYM!Part of this is because I have reached 70 years old but look 20 years younger.

I use the Total Gym for the general exercise, to get my heart rate up,and keep cholesterol levels down. I also use it it for strength training, to be more muscular,and feel more general strength,endurance,and energy,so I can be in the best shape I can be. The things that are great about it,is no assembly except minor accessories to do certain exercises. It can be stored somewhere else. The cushion can be taken off and put somewhere else,so my cats can't claw on it when I'm done using the whole machine,if I don't intend to store the whole thing. The exercises on the machine can give a good workout without having to use extra weights. The only things that aren't so great about this product are: it is hard to maneuver,to store it. it. Also,for now,doesn't seem to have it in the machine or accessories for it,to work the calve muscles. It also doesn't seem to have the ability for exercising the muscles between the neck and shoulders.
Pros: Easy To Use, Easy To Set Up, Comfortable
Cons: Clumsy to store

A Total Family Workout

When my wife and I purchased our XLS, we were apprehensive about not "getting out money's worth". Motivation was our problem. Now, we are up at five a.m. and work out together. It has been a serious blessing in, not only our fitness, but our relationship and time together! We now fight for time on the XLS with our 13 and 11 yr. old sons, who compete and "invent" different ways to use it! Two weeks after using the pull up exercise on Level 6, my 13 yr. old did three pull-ups in gym class, when before he couldn't do ANY (previous arm surgery left one arm very weak). My wife has lost 10 lbs., and has gone from never exercising to a total gym rat. Best money we ever spent!

With video guidance the assembly and storage instructions are easy to follow. The TG allows me to start at a beginner's level and proceed to more difficult levels at a safe pace. It IS a TOTAL GYM packed into one machine.

The TG XLS is the best. I have a bad left knee and this was part of my reab after multiple surgeries. I decided to buy one for use at home rather than fighting motivation to go and costs of a club membership. Best decision I've made for my health. It is easy to set up, quiet, and you can do virtually any workout you want. I like the additional tools for workouts that comes with it and the monthly payment plan is fantastic. All I have to do is go to my basement any time of day or night and I get a super workout. I'd buy it again and highly recommend it for the novice to the workout fanatic.
