Perfect for a busy family guy

I am always looking for ways to add effective cross-training to my running and cycling routine. The Total Gym is the perfect machine for creating lean muscle mass in a short period of time. I use the Total Gym to maintain cardiovascular fitness when I am not on the bike or running.

Every member of the family uses it. Noticed changes in the first week. Get addicted to the Total Gym after the first time you use it. Clothes fit better and have so much more energy. Total Gym XLS is fantastic.

After many years of working out and doing the martial arts I needed my hip replaced. I have used a Total Gym in the past and found it to a GREAT home piece of equipment. I purchased this one to aid in rehabilitating my hip and then continuing with overall fitness goals. Although I truly liked the machine I used years ago I can see that improvements have been made in the mechanics of the machine. The various workouts that are included provide a variety of exercises to lessen any boredom and the ease with which to follow them is appreciated. This machine does what it is professed to do.

Comprehensive and Realistic Review

I have worked out for 25 years and have never been more pleased with any other system. I've used everything from free weights, to the Soloflex and the Bowflex plus several Gym memberships. This piece of equipment is by far superior for Total Body Conditioning. The simple fact that you can train any body part or isolate any muscle group without the effort of moving weight stacks or going machine to machine makes this product worth owning. It is SO easy to go from one exercise to the next. There is no limit to the amount of different exercises. I simply change angles during sets and can work to complete muscle exhaustion. On some days I will lower the unit and work out with high reps and sets for my cardio. My entire family uses it EVERY DAY and when we are done it takes about 2 minutes to fold it up and put it in the coat closet. Anyone claiming this is too large or bulky has never owned a Nautilus style machine or a complete olympic weight set. At the age of 40, I know I've found the last piece of equipment I will ever need to own and am completely done with my Gym memberships. The cards, wall chart and videos are nice as well... I'm learning new exercises daily. Buy the Total Gym XLS and you'll never look back. Good Luck!

I use my Total Gym in the evening after a hard day at work. The workout really makes me feel much better. I love that it is right here so I can exercise whenever it want, even if it is midnight. I do not have anything that I think is a down side to the Gym. I really love it!! I am so glad that I purchased.

I thought this was going to be another one of my waist of money fitness expense. Well, I have been using the total gym for about six weeks now and let me tell you...I was on size 14, some 16; I have to either take these pants in or go shopping, they are literally falling off of me. I have lost inches, unfortunately I was not smart enough to measure myself but I know I am building muscle because the weight is not coming out fast enough on the skale, but I learned that muscle is heavier than fat, so as long as I get back into my sizes 10 and 8,..I will be happy. I use it about four of five times a week and my upper body is building something..I feel muscles which I didn't think there was anything left up there. I have had three neck surgeries which is the biggest reason why I purchased the total gym to see if I could avoid a four year waiting decision for a fourth neck surgery and I have to say,...yes, no surgery. I feel better, the neck pain is not what it was a constant annoying painful pressure..it 's going a way, no more daily migraines from stress and the neck pain..I just can't say enough about this machine. It has done amazing things for me and I tell you, I never used to exercise. I can't wait to develop my strength to higher levels but as the smart workout goes..take it slow and one step at a time. I love it.
