Total Gym XLS Rocks!!

The Total Gym is both fun and effective. To make my workout most efficient I organize it by which attachment I use. For example, I first do exercises that involve the total gym basic set-up, then I do exercises using the wing attachment, then the leg pulley attachment, then the pilates bar...etc. This minimizes the time spent on changing out the different attachments.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Easy To Set Up, Strengthens, Sturdy, Easy To Use, Comfortable

Good But, Not Great!

I use the total gym every other day while I am home. My wife uses it daily. She is seeing better results than myself. Although, She has more trouble setting it up than myself. And, I still have some problems with getting it out and putting it up. Other than that it is what they claim!
Pros: Comfortable, Strengthens
Cons: Hard To Set Up, Bulky

Easiest piece of equipment to use

I wanted the XLS to tone my arms and abs. I lost 30 pounds on a weight loss program and didn't exercise while losing weight. As a result, I lost some muscle mass and became more flabby. I have only used the XLS for a couple of weeks now but I really enjoy the Pilates CD and the general work out CD. The instruction is simple and you can follow along. It's great because it's low impact, you can do it at your own pace and increase as you get used to it but you still feel like it's working from the very start. The only thing not so great is that you have to stop and change the incline, or attach/detach the pulleys to put on the other accesories. However, doing so gives you a little "breather" in between the exercises. I always had good intentions on working out in the past but couldn't get the motivation. However, with the XLS, I look forward to going home and using it. I didn't click the button for "Easy Storage" under "Pros" because I don't have the need to store it away; my husband and I use it every day. He had knee surgery on both of his knees several years ago and the physical therapist had a Total Gym for his rehabilitation. Since then he wanted to get one. Now that we have it, he's into strengthening his legs and arms and I'm into strenghtening and toning my arms, abs, and legs and this machine does all of those.

IT is the greatest

This it so easy to set up and use. We start first thing in the morning. And I go out and work out before Bed. I have been wanting a I have been wanting a Total Gym for years It is the greatest work out i have ever had. THANK-YOU. LOVE IT..... TIM
