I love this and wished I had listened to a friend that advised me to buy this years ago! I bought this machine when the only personal trainer in my small town could not work with my work schedule to take me to the next level with my fitness. I lost over 100 lbs with gastric bypass and I am trying hard to tone up and look the best I can. I am nearing my goal weight and size and want to not just look hot, but "smokin' hot!" I had a date last weekend with a man that hadn't seen me since January. He was almost speechless about how great I looked in my halter and could not believe how much smaller my arms, waist line, and shoulders were. Another friend that hadn't seen me in a couple of months said the same thing. I think I have had this for 5 or 6 weeks now and I use the Total Gym XLS almost daily. I am doing a full 30-60 minutes on the machine to optimize my workouts. I usually do two to four of the 6-8 min. workouts from the DVDs and extra cardio. If I feel like watching a movie or the news, I pull out the cards for those workouts and add reps. with extra cardio to my workouts. This seems to work great for me and I am totally not bored and the time goes by so fast. I am not worn out and tired when I am finished either. Thanks Total Gym!

what a good workout

My wife and I love the Total GYM. My wife loves the workouts she gets from it, since she does'nt like going to the gym. Also she likes not using free weights,which is another reason why we kept it. She wakes up sore and feeling more toned. I also love this machine. It gives a nice burn while working out and had me sore for 3 days. My 11 year old and 9 year old sons also workout on the machine using the kid workout routine it came with. My aunt who is obessive about working out tried the Total GYM for herself and loved it. She wants one now. What we all liked about it is how you are using your own body weight for the workouts. I started at level 3 of the resistance level when I should started at 2. Since 3 was a good workout it will take me awhile to get to level 6 the final level. My wife is level 2. My wife has long hair and has to wear her hair in ponytail since it got caught one time while uing the machine. That's about the only negative thing I have to say about the Total Gym. It stores nicely anywhere in the house. The Total Gym was a good ivestment for our family and I highly recommend it for a good workout.

I had Totalgym 1000 before. This one is great. Good for my lumbago and great for me year around and upfront my speed skating season back in Norway as well as short track at Ft Myers Skatium, FL.

I was always a free weight proponent until I had a L5:S1 microdiscectomy. Follow up visits with a PT introduced me to the Total Gym and now I'll never go back. I have little kids and there is no fear of metal plates falling on their feet.

I own a TG 1100 and recently upgraded to the XLS. Wow...what a diff. Like going from a Corolla to an Escalade. This is a solid built machine that gives me the workout I need. I am aiming to do 500 squats a day. Wanna see what the results will be. Love having a gym in my home. This machine, along with my elliptical and treadmill is all I need to get the body I want. Let's see how I look in 90 days. whoo hoooooo!!!
