Great product, except for when you do the jumping squats, the Total gym moves around

I love this product. I literally have a compelete gym in my tiny bedroom and can easily store it away when I'm done.

I had trouble with my shoulder. After about two weeks of using the Total Gym my shoulder is almost all better. I use the gym daily. I do a different workout every day. It gives me lots of energy and I don't have to go to a Gym anymore. Love it!!!

I got the Total Gym to help my weak back and there are other areas that need help. I have not had it for very long but in the short time that I have had it I can feel the difference. I am not in as much pain in my back I can tell you that it is really great and I am glad that I had gotten it, it is the best thing that I have gotten and I will not part with it.

I am not the type to exercise. My favorite work out was lifting a fork, & that never was a problem until I hit middle age. The weight kept creeping up & suddenly not only was I getting fat, I noticed my muscles had all the tone of a wet sack of cooked oatmeal. Time to do something! I was skeptical about this Total Gym but the fact I could easily return it sold me. In three weeks I have lost several inches from my waist & hips.(I have also started Atkins.) And, boy, is this fun! I look so forward to using it I am actually exercising daily. I have went from couch potato to exercise freak. I love the way you can also isolate problem areas. It is low impact so if you have sore knees or joints you can still use it easily. And we live in a very rural area so it's so great to have the Total Gym ready when you are. You have to be patient until you learn the excercises but that happens fairly fast. I recommend the XLS because the deck cards are very important for this & also ease of your workout plan. The versatility & choices are endless. I also feel that the XLS is the better value of the three models because it will give you many more more options. Face it, we all have to exercise & if it isn't fun or if it's complicated you're not going to use it. The XLS is GREAT! And husband Bob is even using it!

I use the XLS to strengthen, tone and to lose weight. I have it in my basement right in front of my big screen TV. I don't have much time to work out, which contributed to my weight gain and now I can watch my favorite show and work out at the same time. I LOVE IT. Anyone can do it. I have wanted this model for about two years now. I was blessed enough to turn on the TV and see the special that was being offered. I talked to three people who have it just to validate what my thought of the XLS, especially before I spent the money. One girl who works with me, says she wouldn't want to be without it and she is in great shape. My sister is new to the Total Gym, she has had one for a couple of years now and she has always been in great shape. It is convenient for her. She has a four year old who keeps her constantly going. She is able to jump onto the total gym when it is convenient for her. It is truely hard for her to get to a gym and in the long run, it saves her money by not paying for gym fees. Another friends husband has one. He has a great body. He has worked out for years. He has the total gym and has had it for several years. He said, "It is totally worth every penny you put into it", "You can't go wrong with the Total Gym". I can see that by looking at him. My own point of view since I have been using it is, it is convenient, my attitude is more possitive about my self since I have been using it because I feel that I am firming up. I am feeling better strength wise. My flexibility has increased. The excercises get my blood pumping and I am sweating which means that it is working on strengthening my heard. I have the poster showing the various excercises framed and hanging on the wall right next to the gym so I can easily look at it without getting up and interfering with my routine. The accessories are easy to connect and disconnect. All of the instructions that came with it such as the DVD's, the training deck, and the poster allows anyone to use it even if they never worked out before. I do belong to a gym and I never go. It is dirty. You have to wait on certain machines. It is filled with germs and bacteria and with the viruses and other illnesses going around today and knowing that most people do not realize how important sanitation is scares me. So working out at home with my own equipment is a godsend. I've invited my neighbors and friends to work out with me. So far, they love it too. I honestly can't say a thing negative about the Total Gym. The hardest thing and it wasn't so hard was getting it into the house when it arrived. I am a 52 year old woman. I came home late one rainy night. I saw this box in front of my garage door. There is an overhang so it did not get wet. I had to move it to get into my garage. It was a bit heavy so I stood it up on its oblong side. I pulled into my garage. I didn't want to get a neighbor to help me to bring it into the house because it was raining and I just cleaned all of my floors so I didn't want muddy footprints across my house into the basement which is carpeted. If I had to get someone I would of. I opened my side door. I laid the box going up the two stairs going into my house. I went in grabbed a sheet and put the box on the sheet. I pulled the box across the floor and down the basement stairs. I took the box off and set it up. I read the cons that very few people commented on and I don't agree with any of them. I asked myself. Do they have the same Total Gym that I have? It was easy to set up. It is easy to use. It is extremely quiet, (I can't imagine what was considered noisy about it, which was mentioned as a con) I can work out on it at any time in the morning and it wouldn't bother anyone who was sleeping. It is great. IT IS AWESOME. Would I recommend it to a friend? OH YES, I have already and I have lots of friends and everyone I know that has it loves it too.
