Purchased for my husband with torn rotator cuff based on Chuck Norris' claim it helped prevent surgery. I'm using it more than he is to lose weight, 155 need to be 125-130. We teach and run a farm, lots of exercise, mostly in spring,summer,fall. Needed something to help on bad weather days-winter, and something on regular basis with workouts you provided. Just began using it mid.Jan. Decided no TV unless working on the total gym while TV on.
Pros: Easy Storage, Quiet Operation, Sturdy, Comfortable
Cons: Hard To Set Up

Helped my frozen shoulder!

I was in physical therapy for frozen shoulder and just 1 month of the Total Gym and I am back to about 95% usage. It's been fantastic. It's also a great stress reliever.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Comfortable, Sturdy, Quiet Operation, Easy To Use, Strengthens

I bought this product as a kind of joke because Chuck Norris endorsed it, but as i have used it, i am very impressed by the quality of workout that i get from this machine. i used to go to the gym for 3-4 hours a day, but with the total gym, i workout for 30 min to an hour and i feel the same as i did at the gym but in the comfort of my own home, i recomend this to people all the time. the total gym does it all, from cardio to strength training, im looking forward to adding weights and continueing my workout!

I am loving the TG so far. It was so easy to pull it out of the box, set it up by myself, and start using it right away. The DVDs are helpful to get you going quickly. I love how you can quickly transition from one exercise to another. The Ab Crunch is one of my favorites and I love how there are beginner and advanced exercises. It's so fun to use the TG and watch my favorite shows on TV without feeling like a couch potato. I am very happy with the TG. Funny thing...I actually look forward to using it, and love how I feel after a good work out on it. The variety of exercises one can do is impressive. My heart rate gets going pretty good, too, on many of the exercises. The TG does need open area space because it stretch out quite long, but I don't see that as being a negative.

this is a great gym I can can get a good workout in less time it took me to drive to the gym the best thing is no waiting for a machine and it does more than I expected I have good results the training deck and videos are great I would recommend this for anyone

This product is ideal for exercising by two senior citizens who prefer to have the at home option for physical exercise. We have access to a athletic club, but find this total gym to provide all the desired range of exercises that permit our bodies to remain in useful (not quite youthful) condition. This is no flimsy piece of equipment, but very sturdy and safe, easy to adjust and use. Your body will reveal the effectiveness of a work out. Also and importantly, our purchase cost is non-recurring.

Some yrs bk i recieved my first Total Gym(basic model)I was very inpressed with it but limited space so I returned it,BUT never forgot what I gave up!Now I have the room and its GREAT to have the XLS model and its a keeper,keeper,keeper.I have no compliants of any kind,if I do I will post.And the price is Great also.I don't buy plastic excerise equip.the only other pc that i'm so inpressed with in compare is the Schwin airdyne.
