This is exactly what I needed for the full body jump start I've been lacking. As a big guy, I can crank out work on legs to arms and everything in between top to bottom. It has numerous configurations that along with slight changes in hand placement, grip, and positioning can work so may individual muscle groups as well as getting in the much needed ab crunches to boot. Cardio can be achieved quite nicely on this as well! All around fantastic quality, value, and results! A+

I love the total gym- great workouts- love the videos- I wish I would have purchased years ago. It is a well made- sturdy piece of equipment. I was debating between the XLS and the Fit - I got the xls, it was considerably less expensive- I’m so glad I did based on reviews the difference is minimal.

I bought my Total Gym XLS a month ago, and I have been using it faithfully three times per week ever since. I like it very much! The design is very clean, and amazing how it folds up for storage. Easy to adjust for different exercises. The sliding platform is unique - I like that it helps me maintain proper form, and isolate the muscles that are needed for each exercise. Most new users brag about their weight loss. I have not experienced weight loss, but I am a skinny guy (age 68) in decent shape so weight loss is not a goal for me. I have noticed increased muscles and the workouts tire me out more than other stuff I've done - a good sign that my body is working harder. I am not a fan of lifting weights so this different approach of using the sliding platform, my own body weight, and angles is something that appeals to me. Some cautions: (1) the unit is bigger than I thought and takes more space - my first choice for a location in my house didn't work out, (2) some exercises are a little tricky to get in and out of, and (3) I have glaucoma and several of the exercises require my head to be lower than my feet - I have to be mindful of that. But overall, it is a great machine and it will work if you commit to using it!

I am 69 yrs old. I have had three hip replacements (OK, I know, but one did not go well and had to be redone), rotator cuff surgery, and two hernias. That pretty much says it all about my physical condition. Weight lifting has always been my go to for exercise but not the cause of my medical surgeries. However, I now find that I really cannot take the strain of lifting weights. Combine that with the last two years of Covid and the on and off again of the gym, I decided to look into the Total Gym.
When I used to see the Chuck Norris ads on TV, I always thought, yeah, right, how could that work? But after researching its' effectiveness and watching YouTube videos, I decided to give it a go. Believe me, it was the best decision I could have made. I have had the Total Gym now for about three weeks and already I am noticing the difference in how I physically feel. It really has made me feel more limber and stronger than I have felt in the last two years. If you are a senior like I am and just want to feel better, I highly recommend this product.
