Too heavy but fun to use

There are two cons in my opinion-it is extrememly heavy which makes setting it up bulky and a chore and the exercises on the DVD move way too fast in getting the equipment reset. I have to pause to get it reset for the next exercise. Other than that I love it. The exercises do work, it is a quick workout and it is a WORKOUT. Love using it after the strain of getting it set up. Wish it were lighter. Love the chart that comes with it so you can pick and choose the exercise you desire. It is wonderful to use without the dvd as well. The exercises are easy to follow and uncomplicated instructions on how to do each one. I saw improvement after a short period of time using it and have recommended the Total Gym to others.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Easy Storage, Strengthens, Sturdy
Cons: Bulky, Hard To Set Up

"Worth looking into"

The best thing is I can use it in the comfort of my own home. Easy to use. Even my children have been taught how to use it safely. My oldest is 10. This piece of equipment is solid and heavy. I would not recommend trying to put it away. It's difficult to move from one place to the other. It meets my basic needs.

Easy and fun

Easy to switch from one exercise to another without time spent setting things up. Takes up a lot of space, but worth it. I bought one from a retail store without the bells and whistles 10 years ago. Decided to try something else and traded it in.It was too much trouble and I stopped working out. now I got rid of the something else and invested in the good version of total gym and am back working out regularly

*We have set up our total gym and it stays up, ready for use. *I have bought so many other workout systems... total gym is the one that delivers....just use it. *Surprise, Surprise......my husband's reaction, he could not believe how great it works. *It was hard to find a spot to leave it up all the time....but that was my plan when I bought it. I am 60 with some health issues and leaving it set up just works for me. My husband says the set up was easy and he can store it away easy. *We love how easy it is to use....it is everything the info-mercial promised.

The Total Gym is being used to improve overall fitness and LOSE WEIGHT!!!!! It should be put in the "Biggest Loser" gym.

You must be coordinated; have balance to use the machine; some setup of accessories like the leg pulley is a little awkward but once you are in, it's great!! It's VERY important to watch the video on how to Set Up the machine, (its not intuitive)as well as how to use for each excerise. The videos show proper body position; the cards do not show accurate posture; I have been using the machine for less then a month but use it 3x a week for at least 2hrs,and each time I gain comfort in the exercises, balance with the machine, and YES I can FEEL THE BURN!!
Pros: Excellent Videos, Strengthens, Comfortable, Quiet Operation
Cons: Bulky
