*I do 3 or 4 exercises at a time, and then do more later in the day (on the weekends, I do more at one time - I'm just getting started) *I keep it set up at all times, so that I can just get on and do the few exercises that I want to do throughout the day *I keep a shelf (with 4 shelves) in the same room, with all of the attachments on them for easy access *it's harder than it looks on TV - it takes awhile to learn how to do the exercises *the training deck is very valuable
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sturdy, Easy To Set Up, Strengthens, Comfortable
Cons: Bulky

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed using it. It is really fun, and is definately working my body. I can feel each muscle group as it is worked. It is simple to use. The DVDs are easy to understand. It is a great way to get a workout, especially in the winter when it is harder to get outside to hike.

Easy to use in the comfort of my own home. A little heavy so just put it where you want it and you never have to move it again. Easy to dust. Takes a lot of pressure off my lower back. Has made me stronger and leaner. I went down a pant size within about 4 mths just by using it and really didn't change my eating habits.

Works well and very convient since I work a lot and don't have time for the gym. Only complaint is that the wheels do not roll when the gym is folded. If you could find and send replacement parts would be great.

I put in a load of laungry, start my workout, when the laundry is ready for the dryer, I load the machine and return to the second stage of my workout. It's perfect!

I use my total gym at least 4-5 times a week. Some times I go through all the exercises or just a few. But I always feel better after I'm done.

A Well Built Product That Delivers!

I was impressed with the rugged construction of the Total Gym XLS when I first received it. I started with the "Starter Program Guide" card provided that has 15 exercises of 15 reps each. After your first couple of sessions you familiarize yourself with the exercises and the machine and you can get in a challenging workout in 15 to 20 minutes a day. In 6 weeks I've gone from 15 reps per exercise at incline levels 2 and 3, to incline levels 3 and 4 I "felt the burn" from the very first workout. After the first week I noticed I had a more positive attitude and increase energy. After 3 weeks I noticed I had increased my flexibility to the point I was no longer grunting and straining to get up from a crouch when picking up a dropped pencil or pen. After six to eight weeks my pants are looser, my stomach is flatter, and my chest is more defined. This is by far the most effective home exercise equipment I have ever used.
