Havin' a great time with my Total Gym

I watched the ads for who know how long and finally bit the bullit. This has been a great addition for me. I can't (won't) take the time to go to the Y every other day eventhough it is very close. Total Gym has offered me a way to specific exercises at my own pace that help me with upper body strength and workin' on those pesky abs! This is a great alternative to my sedentary job! Thanks Total Gym

I use the total gym 6 days a week & everything about the workout is phenomenal.
Pros: Sturdy, Comfortable, Quiet Operation, Easy To Use, Strengthens
Cons: Hard To Set Up

My neighbor and I have starting using the Total Body Gym on a daily basis. We get together every evening and work through the exercise programs suggested. We love the smooth motion of the machine and the quick transition from one exercise to the next. The machine is really a lot of fun and the exercise cards are fantastic. They easily allow us to change up our program if we feel areas need specific targetting. It's quiet too, so we don't disrupt the rest of the household. We believe it was a good investment.

I HAVE WANTED THE TOTAL GYM FOR YEARS NOW AND WHEN I FINALLY DECIDED TO PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT, I ASKED MYSELF, WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG TO INVEST IN A MACHINE THAT CAN DO SO MANY EXCERCISES. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT AND I LOOK FORWARD TO USING IT EVERYDAY! NO NEED TO GO TO THE GYM, I HAVE EVERYTHING IN ONE MACHINE! [...] BEST THING I BROUGHT IN A LONG TIME!!

Worked Out ON TG At Physical Therapy

The problems I faced w/ exercise was the location of the equipment vs. where I needed to be for my family. I have a daughter of learning support / special needs. I need to be accessible to her for her homework needs which eliminated my ability to work out away from her. After using the Total Gym at physical therapy... I was sold. The equipment was a dinosaur, but it didnt restrict or minimize it's ability of what you can do on it. Once I received my Total Gym, I set up a spot in my livingroom so I am within communication distance with my daughter, while I complete my 1 1/2 hr. workout. I cannot say enough... there isnt an excuse good enough for not purchasing one of these and letting the whole family workout together or at their pace and get back in life. To conclude... my daughter is a Special Olympic athlete and the total gym strengthened her to succeed at the most recent games, coming in first place in the 50 Meter. If that doesnt motivate your thoughts and energy, nothing will! I love it, and love how my family is comfortable enough together to work out! All Best!

I use my Total Gym to keep myself in shape and retain and build muscle. As I am getting older (I will soon be 60) I noticed I was losing strength, and I wanted to find a way to fight the loss. This product has been everything that I hoped it was. I can build muscle, stay in better shape, and lose weight by just using my Total Gym a few minutes a day. The only downside I have found is that I am going to have to buy new pants since mine are all too big around the waist. What a great problem to have.

Start Slowly!

The unit is EXTREMELY heavy--a good thing when you are lying face down a few feet off the floor--not so good when trying to set-up/close up (careful for pinched hands/fingers!) and certainly can't whip it under any bed I have. It takes a few tries to figure out what exercises you will do, what level to start, etc., but AFTER some experimentation provides a great, smoothe workout experience. Instructional DVD is very good--would recommend STOPPING player after each exercise to review, cannot possibly go through routine as quickly as the instructors the first time around. In short, this is a quality piece of equipment, not as portable/easy to move as implied, but great to work out on.
