Newer Is Better!!

Many years ago a friend of mine was a professional arm wrestler. He showed me this piece of equipment he used to work out on. It was one of the original Total Gyms. Up, down, pullies, that was it. I thought it was great. Some time later I was able to buy one for my self. Pretty much the same, up, down, pullies. I have had that machine for 20 years. I saw the new XLS model, ordered it on a trial basis and now I own it. I now own two Total Gyms. There is not one thing wrong with the old 100 model, but newer is better. The foot rest, palates bar, ankle straps, and sit up-pull up bar make my work outs more complete, 100% better. I recommend everyone at least try it out. Mine is up in my living room, where I am the most, in front of the television. It only gets put away to make room for the Christmas tree. I have a friend who I am going to loan my older gym to. I am sure she will be getting the XLS once she sees the improvements. Newer is diffently better!!

I was impressed with ease of operation. Changing from one level to the next is simple. It truly does only take minutes to get a good workout. I got this for myself but my wife tried it and she likes it better than any piece of exercise equipment we have ever purchased. The only flaw I have seen is that the top of the pad on the front edges are starting to crack and the foam padding is becoming visible.

Excellent Product overall

This is one product that allows you to do multiple exercises without removing or adding too many components like other equipment that I have. The training DVD's are wonderful and easy to follow. This is such a great product that the entire family enjoy this, especially my 12 year old son! The 20 minute session seems to go by fast, but when your done, you know you received a good workout. I have stopped using my other equipment in favor of my Total Gym.

Quality Machine, Amazing Workout !

I for one did extensive reviews of all the fitness machines on the market. I chose the Total Gym because I felt that it had all the qualities in an exercise machine that I needed and required. It is so easy to set up. After working out a muscle group, I go to the next exercise in no time flat to work the next muscle group. It does wonders on my cardiovascular training. It is a smooth operating machine and well constructed. Contrary to what some people say, If you use the machine properly and regularly, you DO gain muscle mass. The materials that are sent with the machine are very helpful also. The videos that come with the machine have helped me a great deal. Especially the nutrition video. I have changed my diet and, I workout on the machine four days a week. It has done everything it is advertised to do. All you have to do is follow the instructions. Even though Chuck Norris is one of my favorite people and he uses the machine (and is in great shape), I did not buy it for that reason. I bought it because I felt it was the exercise machine that best fit my needs. I was right. I have been using the Total Gym for only a few months. My cardiovascular fitness is much better. I feel stronger and I have lost 23 pounds already. If the machine I have wears out, I will buy another one without thinking twice.

I use the product 4-6 times per week for 1/2 hour per day. Iv'e been using the Total Gym for 2 months and I can see and feel the results. The only thing I am concerened about is the durability of the equiptment. There are parts that appear to be wearing. Only time will tell.

I am not a spring chicken and not an old hen either but have been able to see great results and my endurance hs improved greatly. I like that it is always there, and not wanting to change and go the gym is no longer a valid excuse. It is awsome that both my huseband and I are able to use the same machine without a lot of set up.
